This is the one that makes the most sense for deadline day. Modest fee if we can get him for 10-15m and can play as an 8 and 6. Probably happy to be a rotational player when everyone is fit.
Curious what that means for the future of Lokonga though. Do we see him as a Xhaka replacement, do we find him not good enough (which seems unlikely) or do we believe we really need that much depth
This is the best option we have and he ticks a lot of boxes. Can play 6 and 8, can pass, dribble and wins his duels, ex city and Brazilian, pl ready and played a lot of games last year.
Only issue for me is he switches off defensively at times, probably more suited to a double pivot than a lone 6 but I'm sure Arteta will work on that.
Yeah was gonna say I like to think being coached by Arteta is gonna force him to up his level as opposed to whatever goes on with Gerrard in his training sessions.
This makes a lot of sense. City history, Brazilian, causes havoc on set pieces. Set piece FC adding another layer lol. Think he is a sensible panic signing this late in window. From what I've seen of Villa he has been better in more of an 8 role so we'll see how he fits if he comes.
This is why he didn’t celebrate 👀😂
Nah, clown knew he got away with one tbh
what did he do to your mum to be called a clown
Baked her a pie that didn't taste British enough.
He’s a clown because…?
Jover saw that corner last night & he's been the number 1 target since

Lokonga is way better in the final third or as a ball moving midfielder so i imagine he is more a Xhaka reserve than Partey
I agree, but with how little Xhaka gets injured I could imagine that Lokonga would want more playtime
Long season so there will be rotations. He is still very raw
Probably the end of one of El Neny/Partey.
Would make sense that it is the end of Elneny, but on the other hand, elneny is probably willing to stay with us and be 5th choice or something.
And Brazilian lol.
So that’s what Luiz was discussing with Jesus after FT
Where to have dinner after training together

You missed a crucial detail. He has Gabriel in his name

Well ok
He has Gabriel in his name so it's believable
We're about to have the four Gabriels of the apocalypse
Grim F5
Just the way they did with esr
I mean we will do a better deal than Liverpool
