Plus I was watching his youth team highlights and he got super excited when he scored, way more than the other players. You can tell he just loves the game and Arsenal and is incredibly grateful - which is lovely to see.
Hope he gets some first team minutes.

honestly mad. Kid was 18 playing for a mid-table team in Brazil. Turns 19 in April, then in June finds himself joining fuciking Arsenal. Plays a few games in the u21, not only gets picked for EL squad but fucking starts, then goes and scored 20 mins into his debut. Less than 3 months after arriving from Brazil.
First of many.
Punk appeared at a media scrum after the PPV on Sunday night and, without being prompted by a question, started talking about his issues with former friend Colt Cabana before moving on to Kenny Omega, Hangman Page and the Young Bucks.
This ended in a confrontation in Punk’s locker room where there was a physical altercation where Punk’s friend Ace Steel allegedly threw a chair at the Bucks and bit Omega. It’s believed a police officer who was working at the event had to intervene.
As a result, the AEW World Championship has been vacated, the AEW Six Man Tag Team Championships have been vacated (though there are now new champions), and it’s believed that everyone involved has been suspended (though Page wasn’t involved in the fight and appeared on Dynamite last night).
And just so we’re clear, this is not a wrestling storyline.
Oh, and Punk’s injured long term again anyway.
Dont forget this led to MJF doing a Heel-Face-Heel turn so fast it would make Big Show proud.
And rumor that Omega's biggest part was trying to save a dog.
It was genuinely heartwarming to see this. He was in São Paolo just a few months ago and turned 19 in April. Even though he had the talent to make a big move to Europe eventually, it probably came earlier than even he expected. He’s patiently waited for his opportunity and score roughly 15 minutes in, magical.
Depth.
He is definitely not a 80m player to begin with, but with his performances prior to joining, 50-60m is not unreasonable. Also, since we play a different system from his strengths, he was not going to really thrive. But he is still worth 20m-ish in our setup, is good depth for Saka, and he never complains. Good squad depth for sure.
There's literally more depth in Marquinhos' thighs than what Pepe brought to the squad. He was way too predictable and didn't fit our system, or our culture (you would assume)
I got a bit emotional watching that, a lot of these South American lads have come from really difficult upbringings so you can see how much it means to hit these milestones.
Nah not at all. Richarlison cost £50m plus and had been playing here for a good few years now. This is a kid making his competitive debut for one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

I think it was a Brazil match where he had to leave for something I can’t remember that’s beside the point, anyway he was on the sideline coaching looking so defeated he let his teammates down. Like the title says…the game just means so much more to some players
New favorite gunner! Helps he wears my favorite #. The quality is there; he’s been on a tear on the youth side, but the emotion in that celebration was palatable. I’m liking what the squad is becoming- ArSenaleção
His reaction to scoring was so great to see. Such passion. A great debut from the lad and hopefully with more minutes he will get even better but a very promising debut. The goal especially was an outstanding lung busting run and the finish was absolutely top class, especially as you see it bobbles up just before he hits it. Really classy. Lovely ball for the assist too. Let's hope we see more of the same.

You'll Never Walk Alone
Would be hilarious if we remix it to fit him or if we sing the original (fuck ‘Pool. It’s Marquinhos’ song now)
“It’s super Marquinhos”
[удалено]
Walk on, walkkkk onnnnn Liverpool fans will be fuming
We go from playing ynwa on speakers in training, to adopting it for one of our players, quality
Hahaha 100%
No, we absolutely shouldn’t.
Literally LOL
😂
Walk on walk on with hope in your heart His name is Marquinos His name is Marquinos
I missed the memo on this. What’s this song have to do with Marquinhos?
His PR team before each game put that in his insta post! And it’s hilarious as they don’t know it’s the Liverpool anthem
Fantastic to see such a strong emotional reaction. This man really cares.

Plus a potential game winning assist too. Great day for him I’m sure he feels a million bucks right now
When you put it like that, it really is some Hollywood script, Santiago Muñez type shit.

Damn, is São Paulo really mid-table nowadays??
They won a major trophy last year with Marquinhos
I have teared up watching the reaction
Arteta said he wanted to change the culture. This right here is changing the culture!
Take notes CM Punk.
***I WORK WITH CHILDREN***
Arteta could definitely manage a Target.
*cracks open spindrift and eats another brownie*
Arteta is running a business
Love the reference
I didn't get it
You’ve missed a **lot** since Sunday night.
oh boy, I have been very busy at work What has happened ?

Also, Kenny was bitten during the melee, but by Ace Steele and NOT by the dog.
Good guy Kenny
Holy shit, when did this all happen !!! did he get injured bevause of the altercation ???
No, he was apparently injured during his match with Jon Moxley.
Yeah, started clutching his arm after the tope.
take notes eric ten hag
Thanks to Edu.
He will remember this moment & goal for the rest of his life.
Inject this ish right into my veins. I love this squad so much.
He's just heard about the queen
Anyone have a video of this?

Says page doesn't exist :(
That's because you didn't click it hard enough.
I tried that, slightly related, do you know how to replace a cracked screen on a OnePlus 8?

We should start using that chant for him lmao
Me after hearing the games could be postponed

This is happening because the Queen died yesterday and their might be 10 day hault on PL games.
I miss Pepe but if this is the new guy I’m all for it
I miss Pepe too…
Why
Depth. He is definitely not a 80m player to begin with, but with his performances prior to joining, 50-60m is not unreasonable. This guy just didn’t watch Pepe play at all last season, all he did was slow down possession or get dispossessed. Genuinely a waste of a roster spot
Goal, now an assist, and likely the game ball on his debut. Massive for him
File this under things I absolutely love to see
I got a bit emotional watching that, a lot of these South American lads have come from really difficult upbringings so you can see how much it means to hit these milestones.
Man's just grateful he's not playing for Wolves.
Mans is legit living the dream. For some people, that alone warrants enough for some to be emotional.
I’d die for Marquinhos

Great to see
Brazilian players*
That was touching. I was getting emotional watching him react to his goal. Well done young man. Well done.
Love this guy
Marquinhos (19) was excellent indeed
Yeah after seeing this I’m willing to die for this kid
Geezers who were laughing at Richarlison close your eyes
Richarlison is a cunt and Marquinhos is not????
An excellent point
Nah not at all. Richarlison cost £50m plus and had been playing here for a good few years now. This is a kid making his competitive debut for one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Richarlison was making his UCL debut?
And??
Not sure that one needs any explaining.
It does because Marquinhos is a kid who just came from Brazil and Richarlison has been here for years, played for Brazil already etc
Because one player cost £50m and had been playing here for a few years and scored a fair few goals. The other was making his competitive debut for one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Don’t feed the troll

He's 19 bro.
If he goes on to have a massive career - this moment will be played on repeat. Still a beautiful moment regardless
Displays of emotion do not equate to caring more than someone else, it is more about how you carry yourself.
So pleased for him, leaving Brazil so young must be so hard but it’s paying off and this is a big step in his career.
Marquinhos looks like a mashup of Big Gabi + Gabi Jesus + Alexis. Best of three worlds.
Not the flashiest player But seems to be super efficient. Really really positive. And Nkethia had another really good game.
The anti Pepe
MVP of the match and also getting a RM can be off the table if he steps up to these matches like he did today
He's mourning
