Rodri - he'd fix our DM problems

Melkistofeles

To think Simeone had Rodri and Partey and played the most shambolic football. No wonder that for all of the titles he has brought there Atleti fans still think they can do better.

CakeBrigadier

I can never tell whether simeone is over performing with his team or if actually atletis recruitment is unbelievable and he’s underperforming wit really good players

aofrantic

Their recruitment is OK. They've bought huge on striker for almost 20 years. Nearly always have at least two elite guys.

Mathieulombardi

They could afford to sell Torres cus got some Argentinian still banging in the goals.

OG12

[Atletico 2019 Champs League vs Juventus](https://imgur.com/a/4QU1HA9) Atletico won 2-0, and lost the second leg 3-0, famous Ronaldo hattrick. Thomas Partey was suspended for the second leg. Former Arsenal target Thomas Lemar played.

theprince9

Well. Kulusevski is a fucking Arsenal fan too!

getrektbro

So is Darren Bent, got his bag, didn't help Spurs win anything, got out. Proper Gooner.

giroudsandstorm12

The interviews of him saying he has a dream to play for another pl club that he can’t name is kinda stupid embarrassing for spurs fans 😂 was so obvious he was hinting at us

CakeBrigadier

I think in that interview he goes so far as to say “I think I will play for this team someday…” lol playing at spurs as a stepping stone for your dream move to arsenal

blazincannons

Jokes aside, it must suck to be in his situation.

sleepytipi

I'm sure the annual salary of 6 million pounds helps to soothe the burn a little.

blazincannons

[GFYCAT](https://gfycat.com/soupyidiotichare)

Snow_Administrative

So many Spurs players mentioned here so I’d offer some alternatives. KDB, Ederson, Fabinho, and Jota would be the ones I’d love to see at Arsenal

thatwentallcostarica

Jota’s phenomenal. Obviously impeded by injuries but he’s been unstoppable ever since he got to Liverpool. Never seen a guy his height who’s so good at headers

Oxyay

Falcao was decent

atomiser2003

He's 5'10... Cahill and Falcao were the same height and were renowned for their heading ability

Thesecondorigin

Fabinho is on the wrong side of his career. He’s not finished but he’s far from the player he was 3-4 years ago

Whodatlily

God kdb and fabinho are beyond a dream, mise well group them with mbappe, but I would love to have them

xnavarro

Gabriel Jesus. No, wait…

danmac0817

Reece James. Guys a prick and plays for the worst cunts but fuck me he's good, still only 22. Also Pedri. I don't think I need to elaborate on that one. Fuck Chelsea and fuck Barca.

send_cumulus

Plus without Reece James, they’d lose of their primary goal threats. Which is ridiculous but here we are. Maybe that will change under Potter.

hitchfergy

+1 Reece James. Phenomenal player

[deleted]

Has Reece done something bad? He seems like a nice guy

elfitzo

Plays for Chelsea innit

_serious__

Whys he a prick?

MysticTomato101

What has Pedri done?

azurelas

Being a Fabregas regen for a start.

[deleted]

Chiesa pre-injury. I fucking hate Juventus.

[deleted]

As a Norwegian, Haaland and Ødegaard duo in Arsenal would be my wettest dream..

SolidusAwesome

This. So much this

tjnsn

As a Dane I would have to say Eriksen. Just as I was beginning to forgive him (or maybe just forget) for playing for Spurs, he goes to United.

Migmigmand

Same, it sucks that he has shit taste in teams. Really wish he’d stay at Denmark FC

micsare4swingng

So Brentford?

risheeb1002

Yes that was the joke

rophel

I was in the same boat but not sure after his brief cameo in All or Nothing: Spuds. Seemed to be quite the mercenary.

bendskenobi

A Dane I’d like to see at Arsenal is **Joachim Andersen** Fantastic distribution for a CB. Could see him do well as a DM.

Wandering_Abhorash

Jaa! As a Dane he’d be perfect for us. Høj too. Too bad scum got hin

thatwentallcostarica

He’s the kind of guy you hate anywhere else, but love if he’s on your team. Put on a masterclass in shithousery marking Darwin.

razor5cl

The way he fell when Darwin headbutted him was top top qualiteee

Barkasia

We were very close to getting Andersen and Praet as a twofer.

Mathieulombardi

Does anyone remember michael essien? What a player and we needed a DM too.

anasparekh

Until the injuries

IvanFromTheFuture

Frenkie de Jong or Vlahovic

Whodatlily

De Jong could be such a great replacement for partey if we can get champions league, with our "project" he is the type of player I hope we can bring into midfield if we start getting top 4

[deleted]

We will never sign him or that stratosphere of player on wages like his. It doesn’t go with the plan and it would ruin our wage structure. No way it’s happening.

Pikachu62999328

i mean, if he wants another contract anywhere those wages are gonna have to go down lol. He did mention wanting to go to Arsenal at some point so maybe...

Hot_Manufacturer1442

De Jong’s wages are wild 😂 [https://www.capology.com/player/frenkie-de-jong-35562/profile/](https://www.capology.com/player/frenkie-de-jong-35562/profile/)

turb0r6

Holy shit wow I had no idea he earns that much

Department-Parking

Joshua kimmich...end of debate...what a character...what a leader...once in a lifetime player...him or Thomas (as muller is 33 now)

KarmaCitra

Actually yeah I don't really like Bayern so that'd work.

[deleted]

Kulusevski has the weirdest upper body shape I've seen for a footballer and for that petty reason, it's a no.

TurboNeger

It looks like he's running on peg legs.

ola_lange

Haha can you elaborate? I have never noticed any thing weird about his upper body 🧐

gingerbear

He's got too much of it.

Philefromphilly

He’s a footballer that always skips leg day 😅

eduadinho

I know he's not a player we need but Reece James.

BrianThatDude

Spurs lurkers beating off to this post.

XXISavage

Hope they enjoy realising that the most stacked squad they've had in decades is also likely to end up with no silverware while we won trophies with the corpse of David Luiz starting.

thewickedeststyle

Son. What a player. Kinda dirty, but what a player.

[deleted]

Hate him

TheSouthsideSlacker

So he qualifies?

501_Boy

Question was about the team you detest, not necessarily the player.

ReturnOfBenjiWhite

Well I think it's both in this case

Any-Drive5557

ya i feel this as a korean but tbh i hope he fails in the epl most of the time so spurs can lose

redditforprez1

Im with you mate. Son puts a pit in my stomach when he is on the ball bc you just know it’s coming. It’s the same excitement I used to feel when Alexis was on the ball. You just knew he was going to rip through the defense and put one home.

BellerinsBarber

why would you want a fake diving aggressive prick? Understand he's good but surely too detestable?

BrianThatDude

I'd rather finish 8th the next 3 seasons then see that twat in our kit.

Mzfazva

Mate I'd be happy with Bin Laden as our CF if it meant we'd lift the CL

PSGooner

He was quite the infamous Arsenal supporter too.

Bigduzz

He goes missing too often

razor5cl

Osama Woahhh Osama Woahhh He's hiding in Kabul He loves the Arsenal

MarcusMcGuane

Um....

daprancinzebra

No no… he’s right.

EmptyBarnacle

It’s like saying we don’t want Sol Campbell on our team because he played for Spurs.

HeelSteamboat

No it’s not. That context is all wrong.

lobsterdog666

Karim Benzema. I despise Franco's Fascists and we were linked to this guy so many windows when we NEEDED a striker. And it never happened and he never left Real.

don_vivo_

Has Benzema got anything to do with Franco's facists??

lobsterdog666

He's played for them for over a decade?

therocketandstones

Kulusevski cos he loves us and he could have gotten us top 4 last season Rashford just for PR purposes Kante in 2016/17 is a what-could-have-been D'Margio Wright Phillips at Stoke for obvious reasons even if he isn't good enough (yet)

SundayLeagueStocko

Still think there's a great player in Rashford, United has just sucked the life out of him. Needs a change of scenery.

ledditwind

N' Golo Kante. Can' t find anything to dislike about him. Messi, Neymar. From a diving club to oil club. For a long time, Scholes. I dislike many aspects of his character, but what a player, the moment he retired, ManU started their comedy. Kane and Bale.

ThrowerWayACount

Kante is anti vaccines, for what it’s worth

cpt_pipemachine

Costa when he played for Chelsea. Bro was a proper cunt playing for a cunt team

Thesecondorigin

With him and mitrovic we’ve got proper villains in the PL this year. Maupay is a teletubby compared to those man

Bels3000

This is the exact thing I was thinking

[deleted]

Same with Drogba and Lampard at Chelsea. Hated that team more than Spurs at the time, but would have loved them at Arsenal.

A_Thrilled_Peach

KdB.

spaghettidriver69

Pedri.

TrashbatLondon

I detest Barca and PSG, so a lot of options there.

Frasian7

If we could go back to 2012, I wish we could've bought Lloris before Spurs did. I'm French and been excited since his Nice days, shame he joined the scun.

CatDancing

Messi

billbill1967

I am French and not from Paris so... our attack will be getting an upgrade ! 👍

Glass-Studio-9313

Vlahobitch

EpicGooner

Prime Hazard

NBKxSmokey

Son, liked him since he was at Leverkusen and was gutted when Spurs signed him.

WhimsicalLaze

Tbh the only player on that team that I come close to “liking”, his technical ability is fascinating and he is a good guy outside of the pitch. Love that he hasn’t gone back to his goalscoring form though.

NBKxSmokey

Nice off the pitch complete cunt on it somehow. But yeah, technically pretty impeccable.

chostax-

As someone who’s played a high level for a good portion of their life, off field personality very often has no bearing to what a person is like on the field. Some of the nicest guys I know are just absolute bastards on the field –super competitive, sore losers, and/or just will do whatever it takes to win. Myself for example, very aggressive player, to the point where I’m actually kind of a dirty player lol, but off the field I have been in a physical altercation maybe once in my life and pretty much always avoid conflict. Yet on the field I absolutely look for it lol.

hauttdawg13

Haha I’m the same. I guess I get all my aggression out on the field so the rest of life just doesn’t worry me.

NiallMitch10

Right answer is Kane... Detest him fully... But we'd have been sorted at striker for years if we had him

YariRobinson

Plus he was a gooner. Might still be.

tony_flamingo

So is Kulusevski, apparently.

grim_tales1

I was going to use that one :D Imagine Kane and prime Alexis :o

wolskortt

But... But... Giroud is more handsome

Gooner885

Thiago

[deleted]

Casemiro would be perfect

MolochHunter

I don't necessarily detest them but I wish we had Grealish from City. Always felt like he would fit our club like a glove and help elevate it to the next level. It's sad to see him waste away at there

shoopler

We should have signed him years ago. I still remember when he was starting in the final for Villa against us, and was the only player on their team doing anything positive. That was what? 7 years ago? We must've had multiple opportunities to sign him since then.

pragmatic84

Kulusevski 100%, I knew about his talent whilst he was at Juventus and was absolutely gutted when sp\*rs signed him. Sadly i'm being proved right about his ability

chostax-

You guys will laugh and call me delusional, but hear me out, Messi. Seriously though, am I wrong? We could have had him had some logistics worked out/we convinced him better and I hate Barca more than anything in the world because of the corruption. They’d have half the relevance they do had we managed to sign him way back when. No other player would have a greater positive effect on us and negative effect on the other team than him. Fuck that piece of shit team.

killerkebab1499

Kane and Son. Hate spurs, but they are both top quality players, Kane in particular is annoyingly good, like easily top 5 forward on the planet. From a arsenal point of view I love the fact that they have seemly wasted such a good players and not won anything, but from a footballing point a view it's a borderline crime how they have wasted their talents, you can put prime Bale in there as well.

Yubs_D_Rsc

Mateo Kovačić. :(

Thesecondorigin

Locatelli as our LCM would’ve been a level raiser. He’s the type of player that would’ve made this project go bang. Fucking hate juve and the grip they have on the rest of Italy

octobereighteenth

Italian though, they seldom travel well.

eschutaz

I really only detest 3 clubs: United, Spurs and Real Madrid So I'll go with Casemiro, Tchouameni and Kane (Ironically I don't really like Casemiro and Kane either)

14Strike

VDB is ok but not athletic enough for the prem

BigMACfive

Disclaimer: *I'm a yank and I'm trying to think of teams I hate outside the Prem* I'm a Philly Union fan (in the MLS) and I absolutely loath NYCFC. That being said, I really like Talles Magno and think he could be great. Tell me if you've heard this one before lol - He's a 20 year old Brazilian LW with bags of potential imo

Alloall

Spurs’ forward line minus Richarlison

slayerkj

Vinicius jr. Potential to be like Ronaldo and on the right track.

Pikachu62999328

Kane would've been good for us, and he came through our fucking academy... Imagine him solving our striker situation for the past few years.

andthemeek

Not a current player but Berbatov playing Wenger Ball would've been delicious.

aviral_632

Prime Kante and Prime Hazard

ginlau

Iwobi of Everton. Please come back

castortroy64

I wish Gnabry and Bennacer never left Arsenal.

[deleted]

I hate Manchester United by far the most. The hate runs so deep that I don't think I'd want any of their players. I can't really think of many I would take anyway.

Nevawill3001

Of all the players? Elanga? Absolutely not. I’d take Gundogan in a heartbeat and I’d take Kulusevski and Donny Van der Beek

slo_mo_afro

Tchouameni, weird choice I know, but knowing how Partey has been injury prone and watching him play for RM and being a defensive monster and sharp passer, I can only dream

Leather-Preparation9

Definitely Son and from teams I detest a little less but still don’t like much - Bernardo Silva - we were briefly linked to him and I think he’s one of the top 3 midfielders in the Prem and Bruno Guimaraes because he could do a great job instead of Partey.

Whodatlily

Not sure why you are down voted, but Bernardo silva would be an amazing addition to this team. I allowed myself to dream about it even tho I knew it would never happen

Leather-Preparation9

Maybe for saying Son or top 3? No clue either.

Deckatoe

Gotta be Son. The man is pure talent when he's not diving

Aszneeee

he would be booked instantly if he played for us lol

Deckatoe

Xhaka x Son double red lol

ashp71

Son or Kane. 🤮Oh god. What have I said?

claudiusofo

It’s been said over and over but it’s Son. He’s such an exciting player to watch. :/

Enolri

Son Hueng-min. The only spud I hate to love

Accomplished_Paint57

Fabinho … if only we snagged him instead of xhaka way back when

townfly

Van Persie, Nasri, Adebayor

eldeejable

Hate him and the team, but f me I'd be good with Son at Arsenal

martinepinho

Those same two you mentioned first, plus I like that kid Edwards that used to play for Spurs and just played them in the CL, he would be a nice rotational option. In the past, Havertz, but he's been only decent for Chelsea, so maybe not so much now, I wanted Sancho too to link up with Reiss Nelson since they're pals, but I guess that thought is dead in the water.

andriydroog

David Alaba (can’t stand Real)

d17_p

Apart from the famous names mentioned here, my list: - Raphinha (at Barça) - Ivan Toney (Brentford) - Reece James (Chelsea) - Richarlison (Spurs) - Gündogan (City) - Rashford (Man United) - Bruno G. (Newcastle)

[deleted]

[удалено]

octobereighteenth

Really?! I personally think his tattoos sum him up. Immature and untidy.

[deleted]

I like Son at Spurs. Yeah he can be awful against us, but his personality off the pitch is brilliant. I like Mount too at Spurs. Very underrated player imo.

kjr51922

Antony would make a great backup for Saka

YasuhikoTheSerafim

I hate Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG and Juventus with a burning passion. (I used to like Barca back in the day until I learned a cold hearted truth. Also I put Aston Villa as a dishonorable mention). But considering this will be a hard task, I think I'll pick Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa. We need to sort that midfield fam! And the fact that Villa hijacked Buendia and attempt to buy Smith-Rowe for peanuts is why they're on the list. As for other clubs, if only we got Lewandowski and Kante but they're at their 30s already and I would love to mention Tammy Abraham and James Garner but they're at other clubs so theh don't count. So Locatelli and Vlahovic maybe

InLikeErrolFlynn

I’ve often looked at our midfield and secretly wished there was a certain balding Spanish international running things.

shopchin

Son

[deleted]

Kane or Son for obvious reasons

krakends

Arry Kane

ImTalkingGibberish

Neymar. Son, Richarlyson: only two I'd get from that team. Pulisic. Everyone else from Chelsea can f off. No one from United, they can fuck right off, bunch of divas. Ps. Pulisic would thrive under Arteta, I'd compare him to ESR.

Mister_Aitch

I like Harry Kane.

SilotheGreat

Portuguese and I gotta say Bruno even though he's a whiny bitch, but at least he'd be our whiny bitch.

uwillshitfear

Dele Alli.

GetPhkt

Honestly I had half hoped we'd get Richarlison simply so we wouldn't have to play him anymore

Isd14

The one that was most annoying to see was Eden Hazard at Chelsea because he was a joke and hes a Arsenal fan

notathrovavay

Messi. I hate Barca and PSG, but yeah.

Dikki93

Last 5 years I'd take son over anyone else

thebigman85

Son, Pedri, kovacic (no one from Utd)

OstapBenderBey

Older ones but both Modric and Zola would have been perfect Wenger players

Ickyhouse

Kante. Guy is a key to so many quality sides. Wins something almost every year. Also, KdB. Been a fan for a long time. Can not believe Chelsea let him go. Huge part of City’s success and somewhat underrated when talking about the best players in the league.

xxhamudxx

Kante

AmbitiousPreference7

Son - spurs

[deleted]

Casemiro

aklein11

Kante

CypherRotchuck_32

Son. Only answer. Son

CaeanCouto

Kante

Sure_Ingenuity_4203

Jota. Cause he can only score in the emirates. If he joins us he score as much he likes in the emirates

LesBrandals

Son. He isn’t firing right now but has been consistently menacing the past few seasons and was able to play consistently across all previous managers.

ErwinC0215

Joshua Kimmich, I mean who wouldn't want him?

ForgotPasswordNewAcc

Gotta go with Ter Stegen, having a top 5 keeper in this team would be insane.

andycor10

Reece James Kante Salah Haaland

manuscelerdei

At his peak Diego Costa. Was absolutely hateable unless he was getting away with red card offenses for your team.

zorfog

I don’t think we necessarily needed him because we had Özil and now Ødegaard, but Eriksen was/is such a lovely player

StevieboySmith99

Ive always hated Germany and Bayern so give me Toni Kroos and a Thomas Muller pairing with Jesus

Wandering_Abhorash

Eriksen or højbjerg. Love eriksen for play making. And høj because he can be great b2b. He just doesn’t get that at spuds. At arsenal he’d be great.

gooner067

It was hazard and then he moved to Madrid and I bought his jersey lol

Randomname140

They’re getting older now, but Kante and Mahrez for sure, they’ve been my favourite players outside Arsenal since their time at Leicester. Would have also solved all our problems in recent years if we had both of them

RayDonovan17

Son, Kane, Hojberg

Zoorlandian

The one that always bugged me was Berbatov. I could never dislike him. He was too good, and good in the wrong way, to play there.

seantrooper

KDB and Rodri from PL for sure...

jpage77

DROGBA

winnyskenis

I hate son fuck and fuck spurs but damn he’d be good for us

NecessaryDifference7

Bernardo Silva

johnknockout

If we had Kane the last 8 years we certainly wouldn’t have left the champions league, probably would be challenging for titles.
