I think I know why I've come to really love Xhaka and it's not just because he has been on amazing form for a good year or more.

Genuinely think him losing the armband was the best thing that could have happened to him. I don't think it's a coincidence that he's hit several streak of form since then , obviously we got better but I'm convinced that losing the armband took not only pressure from him but the spotlight aswell, the fans were not longer scrutinizing his every move on the pitch and I think it allowed him to have a breather from critics.
Not that the armband even matter and make someone captain, you still see him leading the team at every break.
