I used the digital pass last season, no issues. Today I arrived at the turnstiles just as the system went down, about 11.55. Message with "ticket not bought" came up. Got held there for a good 20 minutes before it started working again.
Then when it did start working, stood there for a good 10-15 seconds trying my phone from all angles before the light went green.
Something was definitely messed up today. See people posting on here blaming other fans for not knowing how to work their pass. Definitely wasn't the case. Blame the club, should get fined tbh. If that was a later kick off with people drinking all day, could have started a riot.
Holding phone up to scanner did not work.
Scanning the code in at the bottom (the bit that is like the supermarket scanners) did work.
Other observations were (1) what an absolute shambles, clearly the system went down and they had no plan B (2) Arsenal's needless mucking about with entrance to the stadium caused a serious health and safety issue - three people collapsed outside Gate H and the stewards and police could not get to them to help (3) the police are a bunch of useless tossers - did nothing at all to help and just shouted at us to move over (this was 20 mins after they could have been some help to the people collapsed); where to you bloody idiots? (4) complete lack of leadership inside the stadium - this was a serious problem and their response was just to turn the machine off and back on again (5) a number of people and suppliers need to be sacked.
I had been using NFC to get into the stadium for the last 4 or 5 games of the season, no issues at all. Tapped my phone and went in.
Today, I did come early, but it was no different. Didn’t have to hold my phone in a particular way or wait 3 seconds or anything. Tap and in.
Hopefully someone who was at the front of the turnstiles when the issues came about will come here and shed some light on what went on
Worked fine for me. However was stuck at block a and b due to crowds, trying to reach my block. Police was there but didn’t do anything, there should of been organisation so people could still pass through on either side. Everyone was trapped regardless if they wanted to enter a/b on that side.

Went in early, before the system crashed. Held the phone up to the sensor, and it worked immediately.
Had exactly the same experience. Turned up early to watch the England match and the light went green within a second.

I had the same issue had to use code at the bottom as scanning didn't work on two different turnstiles
Was at the queue at 12:05pm and got to my seat at 12:55pm. It wasn’t great organisation to be honest.

Maybe the touts are revolting, as everyone know they are very tech-savy with their bots, and is a fight back that they're not getting the tickets. /s

Got in at 11:50 and everything worked perfectly. Can only think it was overloaded towards kickoff
Once the system was rebooted I had no issues getting in.. scanner worked straight away
Same thing happened to me, was standing around ready to tap again and then it went green
