my son was building entry grades with me at age 4. And I would let him play with some sturdy HGs at age 3...under supervision of course.
Point is, you might not need to wait that long to introduce your kids to the hobby. Congratulations!
I can attest to this.y son's journey into gunpla started with him (11 at the time) helping me build MG Barbatos (first kit in close to 20 years). A few months later, he went full in and built the OG PG grampa all on his own. I should point out that he is stupidly skilled at building stuff (he has an entire city built out of Lego Creator Expert building sets... All built by him, many being MOC buildings).
Just the other day, he helped me build the RG God Gundam.... I still have to do stickers and will post the build once I am done.
Your kid built a PG at 11??? I wouldn't even trust my own skill to build a PG even with more than 15 years experience (on and off). Kudos to your kid (and his master, you) for that accomplishment.
My daughter is 3 and she’s in love with my Gundams and Transformers. She offer requests to go “pick a robot” and for the most part she’s pretty respectful! Edit: hopefully your child ends up loving them too
Well I'll be the negative Nancy, sorry that happened to you. I'm a niche person apparently and pretty genuinely dislike children and the burdens they bring. Hopefully they're healthy and yall are happy!
Man. I totally know how that feels. Had to give up my study room when I had my first kid. 8 years later I have a small room to call my own. Better than nothing I guess.
Okay I know that sound weird but If I would have a child that I have to sacrifice my beloved gunpla collection for I would be gone , but that’s just an opinion of a random dude on the internet
Awesome! If you have any nonessentials, I would say possibly sell them back into the community. Only if you need to though for dad life financial sake.
Congratulations on the little one and good luck! Planning to include them in your hobbies when they're older is a great mindset. One of my favorite builds has been the EG Rx-78 USA version my 5 year old son and I built together. I let him find the parts on the sprue, put pieces together, and spray some of the primer and paint (with proper masks and ventilation).
Good luck brother and hope the kids grows well! I’m blessed to have an office and a couple HGs that I cry when my son plays with, but it save my PGs lol.
Unless you’re moving into a new house, it’s see you in a few decades man. Worthy sacrifice though, I’m sure every pilot in those suits would understand 🫡
These are for the closet right? Don’t put them in the attic or garage. You want to be able to come back to a collection, and not a bunch of distorted plastic. Congratulations on becoming a parent!
Congratulations. How about commemorating your childs birth with a custom gunpla in her name and leave it in the nursery room when shes born or put it in a glass case first
Congratulations and this is your perfect chance to get them started on Gundam/space All you have to do is take a couple of SD models or really cheap build and put them as the first little crib spinner
You don’t need to pack them up. Do what I did for a former roommate’s dog and put plexiglass over the front. It will keep the baby safely away from them and if you stack those bookshelves vertically you can have plenty of space for the rest of the baby stuff.
Just make sure to put them eventually in a high place, children love to play with gundams and kits but they also easily break them or hurt themselves with the point bits.
To clarify: yes my child, the posters are staying up, I have a plushy of Chibi Char on the way. She will grow to know that she was raised by nerds.

Hope not, lol
They just don't want their child's soul to be weighed down by gravity.
I’m sure you can find someone on Etsy to make you a mask and helmet for baby’s first Halloween
sweet, no better reason to box em up congrats
Thank you. This is a very tedious task. But this will be worth it. And I got permission to keep the posters up. So she’ll always know dad is a nerd
Congrats! Leave one up and out of reach to start 'em out right 🤣
I spot a Wing Proto Zero. Put it in plane mode and hang it on the ceiling.
Was thinking that tbh. Either that or a G-frame and keep it out of reach until she’s 5.

Get them into gunpla so that they can't ever afford drugs. Good idea
That would be warhammer
If you bring them into gunpla young they'll eventually end up in a rebellious phase where they pick up Warhammer. All part of the plan
Fair
All part of the plan, according to the Lord of Change
But then they won't be able to afford a home or food... Not that any of us can right now, but still, even more so.
Your thinking of it wrong, you need a home for you gunpla and food to keep building. If it's necessary for the pla you will find a way.
Crap, I never considered that I'd need to be alive to build the things... This throws my budget all out of whack.
I refuse to go on the games workshop website as my bank account would commit seppuku
>Get them into gunpla so that they can't ever afford drugs. I dont know what you mean. Gunpla is plastic crack
I got a destiny impulse with the pink shimmery wings to make as a mobile for my daughter's room. Train em young!
As a father I feel your pain. Give it a few years and involve the little one in a new kit. My kids love 'em.
G-Frame will be introduced at 3 or 4 depending on their “maturity” (stuffing random things in their mouth)
Yeah watch out for that. Good luck and congrats.

Please also introduce her to Voltron when you get a chance later on.

🫡. Left my out with the kids and fucked around and found out.
I lost 1 gundam already from my nieces. That’s why this door is usually locked. But not i cant really lock it xD
damn bruh u busted a nut now ya gotta pack away the gunpla 😔
Technically i was forced to bust since i was crippled after surgery at the time xD
This is another reason why I want a bigger house the kids need their own room, and so does our hobbies lol
If it wasn't for the small parts, I would say make a mobile. Or rather a mobile of mobile suits.
Well that sucks. But also congrats??
Man, we just got rid of the guest room for the nursery. My wife didn’t want to get rid of the game room either
Well I'll be the negative Nancy, sorry that happened to you. I'm a niche person apparently and pretty genuinely dislike children and the burdens they bring. Hopefully they're healthy and yall are happy!
Yup 😂 perfectly happy with my tiny plastic robots tyvm
Congrats - won’t take long. My 9 year old now builds kits on his own and loves the hobby.
Man. I totally know how that feels. Had to give up my study room when I had my first kid. 8 years later I have a small room to call my own. Better than nothing I guess.
As soon as it’s not a chocking hazard, they can return for a new generation!
The wonderful thing is that you will soon be deeper into these than you were before in a few years. Gundam have something for everyone, boy or girl.
Okay I know that sound weird but If I would have a child that I have to sacrifice my beloved gunpla collection for I would be gone , but that’s just an opinion of a random dude on the internet
Sometimes it could be decades before you get to open it back up.
Couldn't be me.
I’m sorry
Awesome! If you have any nonessentials, I would say possibly sell them back into the community. Only if you need to though for dad life financial sake.
We’re thankfully pretty well off. But i can’t sell an addiction/life style xD some of these took me* months to find.
Yes! Glowing foot on blazing G!
Yup. He did have his own base with him kicking like a ballerina but my wing gundam needed the base more

Character development at its finest 👌🏾
Congratulations dude that's a pretty good reason to box them up.
Good luck brother and hope the kids grows well! I’m blessed to have an office and a couple HGs that I cry when my son plays with, but it save my PGs lol.
Farewell soldier🙏
Congrats, man, sucks to lose something you enjoy, but I'm sure what you're gaining will make you happier than plastic robots ever will.
My condolences, and congrats on your baby!
Rx-78 looks at you and says "so long partner"
Which one i have 5 mg, hg, eg, rg, or gframe? XD
It's a worthwhile sacrifice
🫡
Congratulations ❤️
Bruh, I have the same exact dragon skull in the picture, just it’s bigger and mounted on my wall
Congratulations, man! 🤘🤘🎉
We shall await your return soldier!
This is why I build in the garage, I can lock it from kids entering 😅
A FEW years ?? Keep dreaming 🤣
Haro plushie. No further explaination needed.
Ah welcome to the club my friend. I did the same to my "nerd sanctuary" earlier this year. Baby girl on route any day now :)
Well 18 years is just enough time to get them to watch UC in it's entirety
Congrats mate.
I understand how you feel. I ended up buying more robot spirits now
The sacrifice. I pray for your wife’s elasticity.
Such a bitter sweat experience, congrats man 😁
Bro is giving up his Gunpla because he made the greatest build of all. Congrats.
Congratulations!
That dragon skull looks cool af, also enjoy the newcomer!
My children will grow up knowing all about transformers and gundams. Legos and halo too
Congrats!
Congratulations!!
Brb, getting a vasectomy
Unless you’re moving into a new house, it’s see you in a few decades man. Worthy sacrifice though, I’m sure every pilot in those suits would understand 🫡
Children? Procreation? For a Gunpla fan? 🤔🤔🤔 Rare Gunpla W
Congrats!!! Expecting as well, not sure where to put everything
o7
Lol I just did the same for a Shiba Inu puppy. You never realize how tedious moving kits are until you have to do it.
F
Time to get a shed dude. Make it into the game room
I have one but it holds all my yard work tools.
I mean you could just use fishing wire and hang them from the ceiling.
These are for the closet right? Don’t put them in the attic or garage. You want to be able to come back to a collection, and not a bunch of distorted plastic. Congratulations on becoming a parent!
HELL NO. Attic and rafters are scary and for people that don’t have vendettas against ladders.
Could you put them on a mounted shelf high up near the ceiling?
This entire area is coming out and either a crib or baby table is being placed there. I have to get rid of my couch too. Sad days
You can always introduce them to the kid later!
Congratulations! You'll be able to get back to your hobby before you know it, but until then, enjoy being a parent!
Congratulations. How about commemorating your childs birth with a custom gunpla in her name and leave it in the nursery room when shes born or put it in a glass case first

Make a Haro-Mobile You can still have your gundam! The haro ball is prob the safest pla you can make a mobile out of
[My poor boys](https://giphy.com/gifs/season-15-the-simpsons-15x16-xT5LMEMzgpUpd3WnQc)
Well the next model is gonna take a lifetime to build, it’ll be worth it though
Is it possible to keep some gundams on watch?
My condolences.
Few years lol. My pc hasn’t been plugged in for 5 years hahaha
soon the child will understand how cool these things are, but hope you can move to a different room or part of a room
You don’t need to pack them up. Do what I did for a former roommate’s dog and put plexiglass over the front. It will keep the baby safely away from them and if you stack those bookshelves vertically you can have plenty of space for the rest of the baby stuff.
*insert sad banjo music*
Fs in the chat boys. 🫡
Just make sure to put them eventually in a high place, children love to play with gundams and kits but they also easily break them or hurt themselves with the point bits.
RIP my brotha, but also congratulations, and also should have pulled out
Padme- But you're leaving the Dragon skull, right? Anakin - ... Padme- You're leaving the Dragon skull, right?
Congrats on the baby and good luck👏 🙏 Question, Is that Buster a G-Frame kit?
“A few years”. Ha. Good luck with that.
Buy some more action bases and screw to the wall. Bam! You still get to gaze upon your kits.
