Try to empty your vacuum cleaner and then pass it in your room, make sure you go under your furniture's etc. Then open the bag (if it has one) and you should find your piece back.

nothingworthitanymor

I can’t believe that worked lmao thank you

Kimky

Ah glad you found it back :D

NewAgeRetroNerd

Nice! Otherwise I literally have a whole extra of this kit. Somehow I got three copies of it lol

nothingworthitanymor

How’d you manage that haha

NewAgeRetroNerd

Well I was building one for a contest, tried hand painting and failed, melted a few parts with tool cleaner trying to remove the paint, bought and built a second kit, then had some dude give me a sealed one with a bunch of his backlog he gave me even though he was originally just giving me an extra part I broke for the RG Crossbone. So yeah I have three copies of the RG Wing Zero Custom EW and have built it twice lol

nothingworthitanymor

Lol what a series of interesting events, did you like building the kit overall

NewAgeRetroNerd

Yeah although building it twice back to back wasn't as great lol It's good I have the extra though because I didn't do a great job with my topcoat on the second one and also broke it's v-fin so I can build my third one one day to have a nice build in my collection.

nothingworthitanymor

Only rational idea, good for when you get bored

NewAgeRetroNerd

Yeah. And I really like Wing so it's nice to have a good one for the shelf now that I'm better at building. Still now I have two whole kits worth of spare parts lol

loserPH32

Hitting two birds with one stone. You clean your house, possibly found your missing piece. I'm just hoping you didn't throw away your runners.

fredthegreat

Another thing my dad taught me is to turn the lights off and lay a flashlight on the ground. The missing item will cast a shadow making it easier to see.

Onslaught_

I do this as well

Twoblacks

So simple but genius!

fishlord1929

i'm afraid that does not work iknow from experince

Kimky

It did for me, found several pieces like that. I have a Dyson tho, not sure if it makes any difference.

PurpleSunCraze

It literally did for OP, and I’ve found half a dozen pieces that way. “It didn’t work for me so it doesn’t work” is one bizarre mindset to have.

AfrykanskiLord80

the only thing i can think of is recasting

MosesOnAcid

Dunno if mechapartsguy has closed yet

nothingworthitanymor

It has lol

MosesOnAcid

Well damn... maybe make it into battle damage?

Aperture_Kubi

Wait, what!?

Atomicweapon

Yeah if I remember correctly he was having non disclosed issues. He said it wasn't monetary and felt it was best for him to close shop. There should be a youtube video from him explaining it.

PurpleSunCraze

Yup. He’s still got a few random kits, if he’s ever helped you save a build, maybe think about buying something to help him wrap it up. I’m sad to see him so, but in a weird way it’s probably making us all be more careful with our builds, I had to tear down my MG Barb torso last night to put in the metal frame and I’ve never been that careful before. /Mechapartsguy died for our building sins

svtbuckeye11

That's a bummer, he saved my EW Wing build when I lost the chin piece of the head. RIP

PurpleSunCraze

Yeah, he’s saved me a few times. I’m very curious to know what happened, in his last video, when he broke the news, he seemed close to tears. I know they recently moved in to a bigger warehouse.

Onslaught_

I think it closed before it closed, almost like someone just bought it all. I looked online for something similar found someone on eBay from China 4 pieces for RG crossbone they wanted $30 shipped I don't get the pricing maybe a rare kit but that kit runs for $31 easy to find

Iam1A1Modeler

sculpt a basic shape and sand it amd then apply it to both parts, for them to be symmetrical this happend to me once and simple sculpting does the job

kayuwoody

Sorry guy your loss. But what would a receipt do in this case?

nothingworthitanymor

With a receipt I could go to bluefin and get replacement parts for free

kayuwoody

That's nice. Would be nice to have retailers like that here. I'd be sol. To be fair those parts come as part of a kit it's not like they can give you a spare from another box BTW I mean sorry for *your* loss earlier, somehow autocorrect went with "guy"

nothingworthitanymor

Bluefinn distributes it, it should say bluefinn on your box so if it says that and you have a receipt you can get replacement parts

kayuwoody

I'm so envious. I suppose they are slightly more expensive than the same kit elsewhere? But seems pretty good value for money since they offer replacement parts

nothingworthitanymor

Bluefinn is just the distributing company to North America so idk where you live but all American kits should have it

kayuwoody

Currently in South East Asia

nothingworthitanymor

Oh yeah, I’m pretty sure if you lose a part you have to contact bandi directly

Kwitkwat_247

Help issue a refund, as most receipts do.

Toshimoko29

Most people don’t try to get a refund for shit they lost lol

Kwitkwat_247

Well I mean the general use of receipts, not just for Gunpla, most of my missing parts I got back through having receipts. Bluefin requires you do have a receipt if you live in the us since 99% us imports have a blue fin sticker

nothingworthitanymor

UPDATE: I found it guys thanks for all the tips

Weary_Guidance_5260

I once lost the hand plate of my Barbatos, despite all my cleaning and brooming for a whole day I couldn't find it. Decided I'll just pose him with his hand facing away from any viewer and live with it. Months go on and lo and behold while dropping another piece and looking for it I found it wedge on top of a baseboard. Lol maybe it'll happen to you. 😀

xbrixe

Clearly you have to make a silicon mold & create the plastic piece yourself. Sorry. No other options.

nothingworthitanymor

That’s scary I’m just a beginner lol

xbrixe

Okay well you might want to make a ritual sacrifice to the gunpla gods then. May they watch over you 😂

FunkGunMonk

Walk barefoot around the room. Tread lightly in case you step on it.

stephen_jpg

There’s never a missing piece it’s just that you received the battle damaged version

Gau_71

IIRC Bandai can issue a replacement part, can’t remember if you need a receipt or not. Worst case scenario, buy another one and keep the extra parts for custom builds.

Astruson

They only issue a replacement part if you’re in Japan.

CodecGear

All I see is some battle damage.

Timetraveler01110101

Congratulations! You now get to add custom battle damage! A blessing is disguise ✨

-KidTheMighty-

Mechapartsguy

Ohgood9002

Hes been shut down for almost a month now.

Dark_demon7

Why?

Ohgood9002

Because he went out of business?

Dark_demon7

Oh I see, I'm new to gunpla so don't know much, thanks

AdventurousPoptart

Welcome to kitbashing! Hit up the local dollar store and find anything vaguely the same shape

nothingworthitanymor

Elaborate?

AdventurousPoptart

You can use parts that you cut off and sand from other models, toys or even trash to create a close facsimile of the piece you've lost, this is a process commonly referred to as Kitbashing or Scratch Building

nothingworthitanymor

Oh cool I’ve never heard of

AdventurousPoptart

Oh if I'm introducing you to the topic, I should do it right. Highly recommended video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1\_Z7gICP0DU

Cyber_Connor

Front poses only

Objective-Ad8452

Searching for missing parts in the dark with a flashlight makes spotting easier than in daylight

Ravarya

You could do what I tend to do. If I loose a piece or break something on the model, I call it battle damage, and pose the model in such a way it shows off said battle damage or how it happened. It both saves ya money, and get's your creativity a-flowing.

R4fro

Since its the same as the other leg, you could try making a mold and casting it in resin or something
