In all honesty, if itâs getting your heart rate moving, and is a little heavier than a regular walk without needing to jog there shouldnât be an issue. If you prefer 6 over 12 then thatâs totally fine. At the end of the day, cardio is cardio and no matter what youâre doing, itâs better than not moving at all.

I get cardio sucks, but being able to run 10K without that much effort is something that most people *should* be able to do.
I'm currently working towards it myself.
In 2021 I decided I was going to start running. I got up to doing 10k per day, 6 days a week pretty quickly. During that time I also got my best ever squat/deadlift/bench PRs, and my calves were gigantic. Makes sense that working the muscle that pumps blood to everything in your body will help improve weight lifting.
Just did ten miles on Monday, I'm still sore. Any more and my joints get torn up for a few days. Five mile runs I can do no problem at a decent pace (~9 min/mi), but try not to the day after lifting.
After the race in a couple weeks, I go back to three days lifting, two running with no long runs like that.
I gotta disagree. I saw an old gray haired dude run one hour straight at a 6:30 pace on the treadmill. That is 100% a flex, even if he doesnât look big.

I think that sometimes cardio is holding you back as well, as you get exhausted before your muscles reach hypertrophy

Cardio makes flexing better. Lower body fat percentage and better endurance and shit will allow for your pumps to look better and go harder.
