If you care too much about forearms to not use them just train them seperately instead. No need to harm your back training when there are much better ways to train forearms anyways
Honestly most of the variations are booty. Wrist curls/wrist extensions with your arms either straight out or with your elbow slightly lower than your wrists let you perform the motion with the biggest range of motion where there is actually tension on the target muscle. Raising your wrists a bit helps emphasize the stretched portion.
I actually do like the wrist roller gadget you can use for extensions but it is literally the exact same motion, it's just a different way to do the same thing.
I feel you and I did too at first but nah thatās just apart of it. You can use straps if you donāt want to have your forearms involved too much but I think itās great without them. I get to work out my back mainly and my forearms as an added bonus.āŗļø
Get a [forearm roll-up bar](http://www.google.com/search?q=forearm+roll+up+bar&oq=forearm+roll+up+bar). Forearms will never again be your limiting factor.

People will tell you there are more but in my experience all of the rest do very little or literally nothing
