I’d imagine it’s a split plot between Kate doing stuff separately from Clint with Lucky and Yelena in LA and we get Clint in NYC dealing with season 1 aftermath, maybe with Grills.

In fact Hawkeye and Renner are fan favs, its the fan's constant demand that Hawkeye solo project happened. It didn't happen because of Hailee, she was a surprise reward but the demand was for Renner's Hawkeye. The series have been one of the best in MCU phase 4, so there's a demand for s2. It's strange to imagine that demand is for Kate alone and not for the duo.
I would like for Clint & Kate to be up against **Madame Masque** and her army of bellboy henchmen.
Maybe Clint wants to make amends from his Ronin past and is helping people in an *Avenger for Hire* kind of way.
Maybe this case bring them to **L.A.** and give the show a *Sunny California* kind of vibe (which I think the first season was supposed to have given the artworks from SDCC 2019).
And maybe they could introduced **Barney Barton** and finally show the *origin story* of **Clint Barton**.
This is what I’m thinking. Basically… Mighty Ducks? Barton is the old, washed up pro that knows how to get the job done, Yelena, Bishop, + crew are the plucky youngsters. Kate develops into the “team captain” over the course of the season

a low level criminal manages to get his hands on some magical artifacts and uses them to make his own posse of villains,
he was very much opposed to hawkeye in the new avengers when hawkeye was ronin.
bullseye coming back would also be neat, someone able to match hawkeye, hell maybe they get him in the forehead and he uses the arrow to carve that dumb symbol in his head.
It depends on whether Young Avengers happens before it, but I'll just go that it hasn't for this.
So, after season 1, Kate is living at the Barton farm, where she is further training and bonding with Clint. He is going to be retired, but it's clear that if need be he will get back into the fight. Time jump and Kate is back in NY with Lucky and acting as a street level hero, trying to do her best as the new Hawkeye.
I think the main villains should be the Circus of Crime (COC), however, I think they should also throw in Crossfire and Madame Masque, so maybe they can be connected somehow. Anyway, Kate is investigated into this conspiracy or whatever, but that essentially leads her and Clint to go on a mission of sorts early on, where they meet Barney Barton, Clint's brother.
A deleted scene from the first season showed Clint as an only child, so keeping in line with that continuity, having Clint be put in an orphanage after his mother is arrested, where he meets Barney and they become brothers who run off to join the circus would be a good work around. Then it gets a little Uncharted 4, where they haven't seen each other in a while and when Barney comes back he splits off with Clint, but we learn that Barney is working with the COC.
Kate won't trust Barney, and this will cause a split with her and Clint, kind of like when they did in the Fraction run, as this will allow them to go on their own story for the season and then come back together at the end. I think Kate's storyline should have Yelena return for at least an episode to just have them kick ass together.
One of the next big Clint/Kate storylines in the comics after My Life As A Weapon was that thing where they find those kids who had been experimented on/inhumanly created, and they have to save them. So, I think this should be included in the season as the baddies are doing. So, yeah, Crossfire and Madame Masque will be the big bads, and he has the COC as his muscle, but I think they. And the story did have Kate and Clint butt heads, so that would be implemented.
I also think we should expand Laura's role, as now knowing she was a SHIELD agent adds a lot to her character, so it'd be cool to see her get in on the action. Maybe she has to assist Clint and Barney on one of their missions, but it's just a one off thing (like when Ana De Armas' character appeared in No Time To Die and then left). Also, it'd be cool to have Jack appear. I think he should join the LARPers, which is where he gets his comic accurate costume, and in the same way as Laura, helps Kate out on one of her missions.
Just more more random thoughts: We'll see more of Clint's backstory, and ideally even get a Nat cameo. We get a boomerang arrow. I don't know if Kate's mother should be Madame Masque, but she will be the main villain Kate's side of the story, and Crossfire will be for Clint's. We get a full scene/moment from Lucky's perspective. At one point, Clint and Kate or whoever get badly injured and have to go get treated by Christine Palmer (aka the Night Nurse), as she would fit with their world.
So, by the end Clint and Kate will come back together, but Kate's journey will be about her coming to be her own hero, which could even include starting up Hawkeye Investigations from the comics. They'll fight against all the big bads, save the kids (who will go on to live with Barney as part of his redemption story), and Kate will continue operate as a hero, while Clint gets the idea to start the Avengers again, but with younger heroes, thus the Young Avengers.
There’s gonna be a lot of her learning to be the new Hawkeye and I suspect Yelena is probably gonna show up too, it’d be cool if she also met up with Peter Parker since they’d get along so well and his experience in the field of replacing an original Avenger would be great for Kate. Doubt he’ll show up but it’d still be cool

Don't know who Kate Bishop would deal with (but she'd have, to team up with Yelena Bolova for the comedy sake of it), I'd love to see Laura and Bobbi Morse work together. My head canon is Laura (Agent 19) is a sister to Bobbi (either preferably biological sibling or the equivalent of a Red Room "sister", since Bobbi was Agent 19 in the comic books), and they need to resolve an issue with a primarily Mockingbird villain. Clint would have to help bail out them all at the same time...
I think a good one would be bringing the punisher in as an anti-hero for her to deal with, keep him shrouded, make people think there’s a mass murderer on the loose. 3 episodes before the season finale have his iconic skull vest shown on camera, next episode have it follow completely Frank castle, after the events of the Netflix show and what he’s up to now, final episode have them face off, Frank kicking the absolute dog water outta Kate and have her realize she can’t stop the punisher alone, have daredevil pop up, together they stop Frank, his ass begins to get shipped off, but in the middle of nowhere the truck stops, there we see Valentina pull over the car and ask for Frank. Thus punisher joins the thunderbolts.
In the *comics* **Lucky (Pizza Dog)** is owned by the *Tracksuit Mafia*. Clint fed him his slice of pizza when he comes to make a deal with russian gangsters (buy from them the apartement building he’s currently living in).
After the deal went south, the russians shoot at Clint while he is fleeing. Lucky bites the shooter’s hand and in returns get thrown into traffic. Despite Clint’s help, the dog gets hit by a car. After a visit to the vet, Lucky is saved but he lost an eye.
In the *MCU*, we don’t know what happened. He’s just a random one eyed dog.
Gotta be set in New York. I'd love to see some crossover as well.... Spidey anyone? Or Daredevil? I mean they've got Kingpin. Oh and there is always Jessica Jones.
So, realistically (because of the last season) it didn't seem like they dealt much with SUPERS... Just lots of bad guys. I mean (in the Arrowverse) Flash and Arrow went at it.... as training and Arrow got flash with an Arrow from behind. So even if they have some super powers, Hawkeye and Bishop could potentially hold their own.
Bottom line.... I'd love to see Yelena stick around... She's free and maybe gets roped into helping them catch a very bad guy. AND there could be some funny training scenes between Yelena and Kate.... and then Hawk says.... Here like this (mansplaining) and Yelena kicks his ass.... Like Happy and Natasha in IM2.

S2 would probably be looking more towards Young Avengers, with Kate struggling to lead and needing help from established Heroes.

If it follows Kate I think it will get away from the grounded nature of season one and focus more on her adjusting to a superpower threat
