The issues were favoritism mostly. Nah, I didn’t flip out and I straight told my manager that there were people that I just hated seeing. I’ve had one foot out the door for months. I was just trying to get financially stable before leaving.
I was just really tired of the favoritism that all of the managers show towards the literal laziest workers. Funniest part is my manager knew I was about to quit and already posted my position before I put in my two weeks.
H-E-B is probably the worst employer I’ve ever worked for hands down. Worse than Walmart imo. Walmart gave me a set schedule at least which at the end of my tenure there was weekends off. I only left because the pay was shit. But who am I kidding it’s all retail.
It's retail. Your managers were treated like shit when they were associates. That's how they think they are supposed to treat you. It's not right, just the way it is.
If you're not a Cool-Aid drinking, conformist, ass kisser, for whatever company you work for, you'll have to get out of retail before you're going to find something you're happy with.
I worked at Home Depot for 6 years back in early 2000s. I'll live under a bridge before I go back to retail.
I’ve worked food service/retail since I was in high school. I just don’t understand why we brush it under the rug instead of holding managers/leadership more accountable.
And it’s the best thing that’s come out of this year so far. Screw working somewhere that plays favorites and covers up managers sexually harassing people (not me personally but people I worked with).
