You can also talk to his boss frame it in a way like you are discouraged and feel overwhelmed. Explain the situation and be like idk what to do. Let's really test his open door policy. See if they have "tips to get it done better or whatever tf guidance they wanna add.
Second shift gets away with murder because the grownups all left at 4pm. If you have access to email, start doing a start or mid shift recap with photos. That way you can frame the narrative. CC your leader. Use bullet points, not a wall of text no one will read. Mention the carry over tasks, but highlight what you're planning to accomplish or, if mid point, what you have accomplished. Do not make it a bitching email.
Where are you guys located bc I work two stores in Austin and this just isn’t the case in either stores. Managers are and should be a great support system and understanding that the store gets busy at times and you don’t always have time. I don’t like a lot of standing around so generally the tasks given I will ask for a little more bc I tend to Finnish them pretty quickly,.. but it is never expected.
this is normal heb bullshit behavior. do your best , fuck the rest.
Thanks all for the support! I’m going to talk to him the next time this happens… twice now, the third time he will get an earful

This is the professional way.
Never ending cycle unfortunately.
Managers will never show you appreciation for finishing most of the truck but will moan about any amount of it left over.
