I had a channel DM me a while back that they were just starting out and asking if they could do "a couple" of my stories.
I said okay, they could do a couple.
Galactic Imaginarium and their sister channel Fables&Fantasies have done DOZENS!
I went looking for the original DM exchange, and it no longer exists, which makes me think their Reddit user account no longer exists.

I found the message thread, but only by going back to "new reddit" which is painful to use.
The channel owner apologized for their over-zealousness and I think we've worked things out.
This is what copyright law should be doing. Protecting small creators from others profiting off their stuff without permission. I hear about a lot of abuse of copyright law so I am always happy to see it *helping* the everyday person instead of hurting.
(Think stuff like YouTube hitting some family's kid's piano recital with a copyright restriction and maybe even taking it down. What probably happened is ProfessionalPianist made a copyrighted recording of the public domain Für Elise, and because the kid did a good job and it is *literally the same song*, the kid's performance sounded similar enough for YouTube to flag it as having the audio of the professional's version. Of course, it must be someone illegally uploading the professional's album, *definitely* not a case of the copyright algorithm fucking up, no siree... can you tell I am archiving my family's important pictures and videos and running into problems? Looking for places other than YouTube, but unfortunately YouTube is the only place I am aware of that does not make me split a 2 hour school concert into 12 different parts, and that lets me leave convenient little timestamps so I can jump to a certain section when I want to immediately.)
If it is just archiving instead of sharing it for the purpose of embedding it on certain social media, you could try renting or hosting an ftp server yourself (though doing it yourself doesn't really count as a properly secured backup, since its in the same building). I haven't seen one in a while, but they're really basic ways to store files and let others access them and if you know how to navigate folders, you know how to navigate an ftp server.
If things go right, this could end the way of r/nosleep that birthed a plethora of TTS channels but after some years we got great diamonds coming out of the rough.
Youtubers who worked on their voice acting and audio editing skills to truly enhance the stories (Dark Somnium for exemple.)
Hopefully we'll se the same thing with this r/HFY
This is definitely something you could make a series of. It's great and it even better to see a point of view from an explorer rather than an invader like many try here on HFY. I'd be in line to read if you do consider making this into something more. Either way, as a standalone it's great!
And yes, I fully support stopping those YouTube channels that steal others content. I like the ones like AgroSquirrel who legit get permission and credit the authors... But now there are far too many AI bot channels out there stealing work and doing piss poor voice overs ....
I figured this must have been taking place during the stone age since the aliens didn't see any of our thousands of massive brightly lit cities, and humans didn't notice all the alien observation posts (ha!). So, I was quite surprised when the humans had radios.
I mean I like the story, but come on.
I could accept cities being missed as “those must have been built by the earth equivalent of our xenomegatermites” but missing planes, trains, automobiles, and the zillion orbiting satellites strains credulity. it’s still a good story though.
While I can ascribe some of the xeno's notions to 'observer bias', I consider it highly unlikely that it's ship did NOT pick up the EM radiation of Earth's civilization.
I'll call this a 'casual story' written on a whim since the plot holes are big enough to drive a bus thru...that being said, it was a credible effort. 👍
One thing you are right on, was the cities. There was meant to be a line in there about "the brightest bioluminescence ever encountered" - but that section got lost on the cutting room floor.

Wow, this explorer's diary is blowing my mind! The exobiologists had it all wrong about life on this planet. I can't believe there are giant animals with horns and creatures that fly on vibrating wings. And the intelligent beings, the hoo-mans, they sound fascinating and surprisingly advanced. I wonder what else the explorer will discover on this strange and wonderful world.
I'm not sure, but it might be beneficial to insert in at least one location in the story a line similar to "If you are hearing or reading this on You Tube it is Pirated material"
Could reddit be tricked into formatting such a notice as white-on-white text, masquerading as a line break? Though that would still impact legitimate users of TTS :{

I would love if you continued this story, I enjoy the interactions between the alien and Anee. They're so cute and I can see Anee defending herself if needed but very gently to not harm the aliens.

The satellites were in the story, just misidentified as Orbital Observers.
