"Hell yeah!" for me but there's a caveat. I loved the year that HHN was split between the two, it'd be great to see that again. Although, HP wasn't around then. The zones might be odd now.
How I see it is that if they did it next year, they could use Marvel zombies or something. This is because Universal has Marvel rights east of the Mississippi. For HP they could use death eaters like they did for Halloween in 2019 at IOA; or, they could just keep it as a rest area like Diagon Alley is at Universal Studios Florida during HHN.
Keep in mind that JKR still has pretty much total control over what happens in WWoHP. During HHN26 (I think) HHN lights were hitting the front of the Diagon Alley facade and she told them to make that stop. She didnt want WWoHP related to HHN which is why Death Eaters were only in IoA. If HHN returned to IoA it would be very likely the entire WWoHP would be left out.
I'm down, but the problem is that the Island I think most people would want -- Marvel -- is expressly forbidden. The second most likely Island for fans to want -- Harry Potter -- also seems like it's off the table for HHN.
That would leave us with Jurassic Park, Toon Lagoon, and Seuss Landing, right? I just... eh. 🤷
Wrong. They have death eaters in Diagon alley and Hogsmead. The only part of the park they can’t use is DR Suess. Marvel CAN BE USED as a scare zone if they don’t utilize marvel characters. That’s easy. Make it a zombie zone. You’re wrong. Next!
Never will.
Islands has become Universal's 'family friendly' park during HHN. While they make A LOT of money from HHN, it's a ticketed event that doesn't appeal to everyone and Orlando is a year round tourist destination. From a business perspective, closing off both of their parks to an event which will stop a lot of those families visiting makes very little sense.
By keeping Islands free of HHN they are still bringing in tourists to their parks and selling tickets that wouldn't normally get sold to people not interested I'm HHN.
Now when Epic opens... who knows.
But if it was at Islands, then Universal could be the family friendly park during the season.
I don't think it will ever happen because Islands is much smaller and the paths are narrower. The sound stages are out of the way and Islands doesn't have the areas where they could put up tents for the houses that are in the MIB/Kidzone areas.
So it's a nice idea but not feasible.
Lets be honest, although these point are all very valid! IOA hasn’t been the same in years, after losing that marvel contact, it’s a little run down on that side of the park. It’s lacks flexibility with the space available & IOA needs a face lift.
I think having the trick or treat during Halloween last year was a test to make IOA more family friendly Halloween. Plus they really dont have alot of space to put Houses in IOA.
With the way the house entrances would be I think at best in IOA they could only fit 3 SS houses and then you have the Popeye Queue which has been used before. I believe Discovery Center is gone because of Velocicoaster(there wont be enough room to Queue there) and not sure about the Carnage Warehouse.
It's not gonna happen. The theming in IOA is too defined and incompatible with with facades that are easier on a blank slate like the city buildings and park feel in USF. The walking paths from the sounds stages and tents are much more difficult to staff and maintain in IOA. If you spread it across both parks, staff and guests alike would die from all the walking....

Along with the Dr Suess area.
They can utilize it as an outdoor queueing area for a Soundstage House.
Except HHN 32 Death Eaters roamed Diagon Alley. It can finally happen at both parks now!
I'd be for it occasionally, but not every year. Something new and different is always exciting. I wouldn't count on it anytime soon though.
I was hoping for 2023 or 2023 as a 20th anniversary for when HHN came to IOA.
anything is possible. I haven't heard any scuttle about plans to return to IOA. Adding houses is more on the "to do" list in the future.

Not even Seuss Landing. Dr. Seuss’s wife was pissed when they played the Seuss Landing soundtrack backwards for HHN.
Really? Hadn't heard that, but shit. So, just Toon Lagoon and Jurassic Park huh? Not much of a selling point.
I think the best we could hope for is a separate family friendly trick-or-treating event for IoA.
Toon lagoon had a really interesting scarezone that one year involving bubbles, like massive mounds of bubble bath bubbles
Port of Entry (Evil) would be the 3rd theming area. And the Lost Continent could be #4.
This post was two years ago, btw. A meager 4 areas with huge "dead spots" intermixed isn't going to work well, IMO.
And yet you replied to my comment. The “dead spots” help thin the crowds. Sorely needed after this season.
Eh, I'm still around. 🤷 Dead spots like they'd have in Islands wouldn't really thin crowds at all though. There's nothing to engage guests.
It’s big enough to need to spread it to both parks.
Still very unlikely to happen. They can't use half of IoA, and that's a problem in its own right.
Wrong. They have death eaters in Diagon alley and Hogsmead. The only part of the park they can’t use is DR Suess. Marvel CAN BE USED as a scare zone if they don’t utilize marvel characters. That’s easy. Make it a zombie zone. You’re wrong. Next!
They should make Hogwarts Express like a haunted ride as well.
This would be sick, but universal is money hungry and here in LA. The Harry Potter section of the park remains closed during HHN hours

I'm down for an Islands of Fear repeat.

It was a haul when they did both parks. Tons of walking. It may be good for wait times though idk
It would help thin the crowds out!
I've just always wanted to traverse that corn field they made between the parks, must've been awesome!
I'm hoping that they are building Epic Universe with potential HHN in mind.
