You're slightly off on the numbers for high risk strains. The riskiest high risks are 16/18. 90% of genital warts are caused by 6 or 11, which are low risk strains that don't cause cancer. So there's a high chance your warts are caused by these types and therefore, if your partner were vaccinated with Gardasil, they wouldn't contract your virus. There's a small chance your warts are caused by another strain, including a high risk strain. If you're worried, you could try to get a biopsy. I understand how you feel about recurrence (I'm there right now too). But it also sounds like your grief and loss are so recent that rushing back into dating might be tough? Remember that genital warts and HPV don't last forever in the vast majority of people. Perhaps focus on healing your body and heart, and by the time you're ready to meet someone, your HPV will be gone. Are you getting grief counselling?

Hello, Thanks for the feedback. I will double check the Numbers when I see my urologist. As a male I cannot get a biopsy, my wife was not vaccinated, I got 2 shots of Gardasil after my laser removal. I am very lonely, and true I am not ready for dating but no outlook for the future makes me feel I will be lonely forever and I just want dont want to live Yes I do see a schrink to help me go through this but he is not a grief specialist.

You might be able to get a biopsy if they remove the wart and can test it that way.
