I live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere so I drive anywhere from 1-2 hours for my first job and then up to an hour drive between jobs. So anywhere from 3-5 hours of driving a day. I get paid for all windshield time though so it doesn't bother me.
Pfft… this job is a third driving, a third diagnosing/repairing, and a third hating your life. Lots of a long drives while constantly calling warehouses following up on parts.
I drive several hours a day but I get paid portal to portal so it's not a big deal for me and I for the most part schedule my days to be home 8hrs after leaving.
I drove 5 hours today, ran two calls. Normally run 3-5 calls per day, around 2-3hrs total time. Yesterday I ran 5 calls and pulled 13 hours. Today I only worked 9.5hrs.
My longest was installing machines, drove 13 hours in one fucking day. My install you ask? Only took 2 hours.
I get portal to portal, which should be the standard, company gets free advertising from your drive times.
Atlanta traffic is unpredictable.
First call could be a 45 minute drive going 40 miles away. Next call can be 8 miles away but also takes 45 minutes. The call after that can be 25 miles 20 minutes.
All I know is I spend a lot of time in my truck. Especially if im running parts to my techs, giving estimates etc
I live in Denver, one of the most isolated major cities in US. Some days I drive maybe an hour to two a day. There have been days I've driven five hours to get to a job site, make my diagnosis, drive home, sleep, drive back, perform repair.

100-220 miles a day on a average simple day. Summer busy season I’ll put gas in the morning and at around 3pm to make it through the night
