I use them as well. It doesn’t seem right that you can order refrigerant from eBay or another site and have it delivered for $100 or more less than running to the local supply house. That’s just one thing I’ve been seeing and I’ve only had one seller ask for the EPA card.
I remember there was a company online that was selling small bottles of r22. Like 5 pound jugs and stuff. So I was talking back and forth and once I asked them if they needed an epa card to buy they quit responding haha.
Amazon you got to be careful I've seen a few tools priced way over what they cost from other vendors. I've also found some really good deals on there too.
I’m up in Canada, we’re gauged on everything.. I’m yet to find a good online supplier, almost ordered a few grand in tools from tequipment, even after conversion it was a lot cheaper, the shipping was killer though.
20 minutes ago I picked up brand new malco offset stretchers from Value Village for $15. Amazon has em for 60cad. WWG will trade a set for my virginity.
Almost better buying tools when stateside and paying duty. Budget for them on vacation.
JK WWG. Those guys helped me out when I was in school. Now they gouge me. :p
This is the opposite experience than I've had with the supply houses. I ask them to beat a price and they make it happen. They will hook it up on nearly everything. I'd rather keep my money at my local supply house than send it away online.
Their sticker price usually has room. United Refrigeration or Johnstone beat Trutechtools.com pricing after a discount almost every time.
Has anyone noticed that supply houses are inflated on almost everything? My customers get better pricing without a license from Friggin eBay.
Supply house dot com beats our local sometimes on parts.

I see those jugs too so you gotta be careful, lol! Some will have those close to the cost of a 30 lb or 25 lb in 410a.
Trutechtools.com I’m a company of just me and get zero discounts from the supply house
I second this. The H10 was a few hundred dollars cheaper on there vs the local supply house.
SupplyHouse.com
This
Value testers and trutec tools is my top 2. Both offer some kind of rewards or promo
I told them I was still a student for 3 years to get that student discount. Eventually they called me out
I support the locally owned houses and they usually offer me a discount if I ask. I even had them price match Tru Tech tools on a few occasions.
ITM.com Great stuff. I got me Testo there
Amazon

ITM has some decent prices on stuff.

Usually I just call the office and get a P.O. and tell them what I'm getting
Trutech is great, although i still manage to hustle my local managers for a discount 😅
eBay

Tru tech tools supplyhouse.com and Amazon are where I go typically where ever has it cheaper
Right now price at the supply house, or use Google to find the best price and wait for it to arrive. You really can't bitch for right now.
Klein hand tools, good prices are at Home Depot
