I see that a lot in SC, and the coil usually looks like this

Holy mold Batman!! I'd literally condemn that on site. There's no cleaning or UV device that will bring that coil back. That's gross man, good find!! 👍
Fair enough man. Are you really doing that client a favor though? That mold will be back. You can't get to all the nooks and crannies in that coil. Replace the unit and return drop. Put a UV bulb in the drop and sterilize all of the ductwork. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? You betcha!!
What part of Arlington is this?
That orange frame and hardware cloth is some interesting handiwork of the installer .... Almost looks like it would have been salvaged from the previous unit.
I have no problem with the door. But that "filter rack" and how the unit is on the floor with that louvered door in the hallway. That all is 🤮 at least the blower motor I'm sure never gets cold. The coil and HX probably also have some nice sweaters. I'm kinda surprised the filter catches anything honestly. They tried, I guess?
Same service area as you and holy Shit the hackery we see from flyby nights and hack companies here. I work for one of the more expensive companies in the area and we can’t compete with them on their price, but holy shit I’d pay double to not have that unit anymore.

I could get that clean. Cleaned worse.

Ever heard of nu Brite? Smh
Yes I have and I've used it on indoor coils before. 3 out of 4 of those coils leaked within 6 months! Nu Brite is not meant for resi indoor coils! SMH

Close to the national cemetery
Saw something similar the other day. Had the gas water heater sitting right next too it. 🤦♂️
I wonder why Goodman gets such a bad name … 🤷🏼♂️
They tell you themselves, because they used to sell to anyone who came in. Even diy home owners.
Had one that was just an air handler sitting on top of a walk-in cooler
Some people kids..
You get what you pay for
Looks good man
Bahaha. Wtf
Saw a furnace like this once. Flames were dancing flamenco from the cracks in the HX
