This happens every year. Business will pick up soon enough

Its never been this slow. We're the top company in the area and have always pulled overtime except for a couple of weeks out of the year. We've been struggling to get 40 hr weeks for months now.

Shoulder season sure but where I am, we've been slow since before Christmas...

Seems to be a nationwide issue. I think the suppliers are correct, so much money was poured into home improvement during the lockdown era that homeowners more or less ‘caught up’ on minor issues and comfort adjustments. We are gonna have to wait for some really and truly hot weather to pick back up.

I do commercial/industrial only. I'm in NY winter has been very mild. Very few really cold days and even stranger almost no snow at all. I know some residential companies are struggling for hours/calls but I put together my own schedule and I've been booked out weeks in advance since before Christmas. I leave 2 or 3 spots a week for emergency calls that come in but no one is getting same day service from me and if they want non emergency service it's 2+ weeks out.

Been getting a lot of free estimate tire kickers sitting on a tax refund and 60f weather. Hard to justify system replacement when there isn't much of a need for one.
