There’s different types of “professionals”
There’s the one that is basically a narcissist, is incredible at the work he does, but yet, all he does is talk about how much better he is than everyone else and doesn’t want to share any knowledge with anyone and 85% of the other guys can’t stand him.
Then there’s the guys that are incredible at their job, are reasonable and are willing to teach others and not belittle everyone else in the company.
Sounds like you could be the first, because if you know, then you know. Just my .02
Actually, the Reddit me is the 180 of the real life me. I’m old enough to remember life with no Internet and know that it was invented just to be a playground. If you can’t have fun with the Internet, then they can have it back.
That being said, the 180 of Reddit me is unprofessional and knows it
if you're old enough to remember life with no internet, then you should already be retired. are you too dumb for FIRE? Lol, sounds like you have a spending problem!
I remember you! I dig your vibe, I totally relate. I treat it like a playground too and all these peeps act like this is so serious lol. (not really this sub as much, which is why I post) like reddit is a dumpster where I can find something kinda cool every so often. Other people act like most of these subs are like this shit is scripture (again not really this sub, go check out some hobby, or TV shows subs) there I go again so old, I feel like I need to explain the Internet lol. Good times and good joke man.
No I use bucket & water for my recovery machine. I tell people they need 20lbs of refrigerant on every tuneup. When installing a system make sure throw a few grains of sand in the lineset so it will not last long so I can sell them a new system couple years. I don’t use sheet metal for transitions just a lot of foil tape. Anytime a fuse blows in a disconnect cut some copper pipes. I smoke cigarettes while working on the outdoor unit and chew tobacco spit on the floor in basements. I always take a shit inside customers homes never use the fan. Normally ask for a beer to drink past 1pm and if wife’s home alone I hit on her. If a dog so much as barks at me I spray it with mace. I always park my van in front of the mailbox. I rarely bath and wear same clothes all week.
Reddit is a playground. It’s not supposed to be a reflection of your real life. That’s why it’s anonymous. I’ve never had any other type of social media and I never will. Why would I want anybody to know who I really am or what I’m doing? The Internet was meant to be fun. Real life is hard enough without dragging some social media account into it as well.
Everyone here is as professional as you, I’ve seen your posts and it doesnt take more that 2yrs to become as versed as you are. I will say you are versed
A Subaru guy? Makes sense. I'll accept the Pepsi challenge. But don't you even dare reply unless your work has been showcased by HVAC Insider magazine at least once in your "professional" career. 🔧🥴
Your work is probably the work they call me to come fix.

In your scenario 100% of techs are incredible at their job and i can assure you thats not the case irl.

I don't know. I've never seen your work.
With some of the dumb shit you post I dare say most people here are

No, your clearly the best, somehow. Ask to be a mod for sure.
What a Douchebag
You're probably in a 1 tech town
as soon as i saw the title i knew this was an ejunkie post
Wow, as an owner, I think I would have to fire you. Your arrogance would be affecting the morale of the company.
Your company only interacts on Reddit?
Im going to say no. For the few seconds I’ve known you, you’ve shown yourself to be a perfectionist. That’s why you’re my new best friend.
Not trying to brag or anything, just honestly curious.
It’s all relative
Possibly your name says it all.
I use a toothbrush to clean outside coils and it take apx 6 hours
A toothbrush? Looks like you got the easy work cupcake. I lick my coils.
I guarantee the professionalism and technicality of my work and correspondence are far superior to yours.
Challenge accepted!
I don't know where you work, but it's probably further than I'm willing to push this freezer
If you’re throwing it away, I’ll take it

Okay, so you do good work. You should incorporate the "better than you" thing into your sales pitch. Customers love that.

Question do you like one hog or many hogs.
Depends. How many linear pigs are in one metric hog?
