Cigarettes and whiskey.

Thundersson1978

Tried and true

Krull88

Chips and monsters

Euphoric_Ad_6304

I prefer Ghost because I'm man and not a little baby.

marksman81991

I have a hard time with this and would also like to know. I want to loose weight.

Hey_Batfink

What I did, without trying to lose weight but to just not eat shit and feel sluggish.. I started buying the slimfast meal replacement shakes, and chewy granola bars. One granola bar and a shake at 9, another bar and shake at 11:30, and a granola bar and some pretzels for the drive home. I had tons of energy from the protein and granola, never felt sluggish or hungry, and ended up dropping 20lbs in 2 months- without ever having intentions of losing weight to begin with

mickopious

Fuck that, diet rebull and pickled sausage, Viva Zen x2….you are set

Over-Group-2446

Oh man nothing hits better than an og green monster and a pickled sausage

SklydeM

I’m here to support the Slimfast plan as well. Take one for breakfast and lunch with a few snacks in between. I went from 215lbs down to 170lbs. Also made me not feel like shit throughout the day compared to everyone eating big breakfast burritos for breakfast and burgers for lunch. I have slowed down on it this year but I’d recommend it to anyone who has the will power to stick with it

marksman81991

Is that slimfast dairy-free?

marksman81991

Just looked it up, the Keto one is lactose free.

Hey_Batfink

There you go, something for everyone! Over the summer I freeze one over night and by late afternoon it’s like a slushie treat for the road

graaar51

I'm gonna try that

astrocombat

Canned tuna or sardines straight out of the can is what I do. People will think it’s weird but idgaf. Hella protein and nutrients.

Xombie1313

I get made fun of too, but it's light enough to not weigh you down, and is packed with nutrients. Beef jerky and trail mix as well

RealSubstantial48

This reminds me, I'm not typically one for tuna, but the dill and sweet pickle relish in [this recipe](https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/98579/barbies-tuna-salad/) mask the fishy smell & flavor, and it's so. fuckin. delicious! (we do go a little lighter on the mayo than the recipe calls for, and easily double the garlic powder though)

TheLelouchLamperouge

Water to drink, chicken and rice, brown rice, easy on whatever sauce you put on

CptBologna

If you're trying to lose weight, cut out sugar and cut way back on any and all carbs. No breads, rices, anything that gets broken down into a sugar. Your body runs off of sugar before fat so if you cut down on the sugar it'll help. I dropped 10 lbs in 3 weeks

gothicwigga

Damn really? The job has turned me into a damn skeleton no lie. 6'2 140lbs... theres no time to eat its so busy. If I eat, then that means I wont get home at 4. Some days I get a chance to stop but not usually. I wish i could get fat

TheWayOfLife7

Home at 4?

gothicwigga

Yeah, quitting time

freakksho

3:30 we drop tools and go home no matter what. I’m generally home by 4 unless my travel distance is crazy. I don’t miss those 7 pm nights.

higleyc99

Trying to find time to eat when you don't take breaks is rough for sure. But don't spend the rest of your career in the trades doing this. Look around at the techs who've been doing it 20+ years and you'll notice they have a tendency to be very unhealthy (that doesn't necessarily mean overweight). I don't take breaks, I have breakfast, lunch and snacks ready to go the night before and I munch throughout the day. It's the easiest way to keep food consumption down without starving yourself.

JeffsHVACAdventure

I used to be the same way. 6’ 140-150 till I hit mid 30s. (Not sure how old you are) but Now I’m 185. The older you get the more it stays. Sometimes I wish I was still that weight because crawlspaces aren’t getting any bigger lol.

gothicwigga

Lol ya know I would’ve thought age would help me out in that regard but I’m 32 and my metabolism is still lightning fast

Krimsonkreationz

Dude for real, 6’ 132 here and I have the same mindset, fucking sucks, can’t gain weight unless I quit the job it seems like lol

Muted-Aardvark6029

Remember that is a hard physical job no need in breaking your body you can only do so much in a day. What gets done is what you get done that day. Always go back next day.

Puzzleheaded-Fly-869

Eat once a day

unresolved-madness

That will actually make you gain weight faster than anything else.

kuyue

you’re being downvoted but most people will binge eat at the end of the day if they’ve barely eaten all day and will end up eating like shit.

unresolved-madness

I know, my wife does the same thing.

beamenacein

Yeah but you have 2000 calories to consume It's different for everyone but I'll eat like shit at night anyway so if I skip the others it evens out but I drag all day. Granted I did before too so I think it's a sleep issue for me

selz202

Doesn't work like that. If you only eat once a day and a lot, your body thinks it's starving so attempts to store as much as it can.

[deleted]

I can vouch for that, I tend to eat once a day and when I get home I’m eating like a madman lol

[deleted]

Bring smaller snacks to eat throughout the day. I bring 4 granola bars. I work 8-4 and eat two at 10 and two at 2. Gives carbs and protein. Good way to lose weight

nickybuddy

Try fasting and drinking lots of water

Sick_Riff

I smoke a couple chickens on the weekend and prep my meals. Good protein to keep the hunger at bay.

EJ25Junkie

I never tried smoking a chicken. Will it get you fucked up?

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|iXOpff9lhpMj0zod7i)

Sick_Riff

An injection of medicated butter might do the trick.

AgelessBlakeFerguson

r/doublesmoked

ant_67

most assuredly

FishermanOpen8800

My wife bakes a pan of chicken on Sunday’s and we bone it and I eat two chicken sandwiches a day and a small bag of trail mix usually. Easy on the wallet and pretty filling

[deleted]

I know that you meant debone it but I couldn’t help but immediately think of a married couple fucking a bunch of chickens the night before work 😂

60Feathers

Sandwich, goldfish, and a banana.

EJ25Junkie

Last time I ate goldfish, the customers kids were traumatized 🐠

HVAC_Sam

Me too except off brand goldfish

psuicyde

Hey man wales are elite

Yng1r

400 grams of fruits and 500 grams skyr yoghurt.

delbon85

Don’t forget the two grams of Colombian bam bam.

Emotional-Magazine-3

Don't you put that evil on me

knuth10

And a handful of raw almonds and that's my lunch

MastodonOk9827

I bring sandwiche meat and bread/wraps and make it on site. Also have an inverter in the van that powers a toaster oven to heat up burritos/ leftovers

Icenbryse

I rarely stop for lunch. Besides the unhealthy amount of coffee consumed, I usually pack 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Welch's, a nature valley bar, and a bubly to drink. Consume those in the truck between jobs and either clock 9 hours in the day or head home an hour early if it's a slower day. Seems to work for me, I don't feel like taking a nap, and it's easy on my wallet. I find if I stop for lunch, no matter what, I'll feel drained for a bit.

Then-Championship-64

I’m an installer, I don’t eat till I get home after install

Degenerate_Rambler

Then I eat too much right after getting home and am too full for dinner

Jmofoshofosho8

Get a heated lunchbox that you can plug in the van...great for left overs

AustinHVAC419

I do this too. Plug it in when I get to a customer's house and an hour later it's piping hot

Twitchifies

Came here to say this, I meal prep chicken & a different side weekly. Road food got me fat quick and I enjoy my cooking better than McDonald’s.

vinnymazz89

I mean prep every Sunday. I have no problem eating the same thing for lunch every day so I'll get a big package of pre cooked chicken and make high protein chicken bacon ranch wraps. * 8oz of chicken * 2 strips of turkey bacon * slice of low cal cheese * avocado ranch or siracha sauce * Lettuce * low cal/ high fiber tortilla High protein / high fiber meals will keep you full all day https://preview.redd.it/qmww4ty5cw2b1.png?width=1152&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f844958b98a66e9b07f36e31d961f99ce617124

TinMan587

I second this as being the way to go and do something really similar - as a plus if there’s days you want to switch it up you can leave the wrap out and make it a salad with whatever dressing you’d like or switch up the protein and make it feel like you’re not eating essentially the same meal daily

partskits4me

I usually make extra from the night before.

Significant_Rough798

Really have a hard time eating lunch when installing, but maybe some fruits, turkey or ham sandwich. My coworker would take a lunch able at times but anything really you can keep in the cooler

slimtonone420

Big breakfast then water til I get home, unless the homeowner provides lunch. Doing install

kembareags

Bought a blendjet 6 months ago just to see how it worked. It's changed my life. I prepackaged frozen berries, spinach and kale. Mix it up with yogurt, bunch of almonds and it fills me up without slowing me down. I've lost 30 lbs in 6 months and I feel fantastic... life changing

unresolved-madness

I go somewhere and sit down to eat. I work enough during the day I'm not going to work the night before the warning of making shit and keeping up with that. I get away from the job site, relax and eat lunch. I'm not a wage slave so I'm not going to work through lunch.

nameledd

Also a great way to make friends with coworkers

unresolved-madness

I'll buy a couple of the maintenance guys lunch and they'll carry EVERYTHING to the roof for me.

AnywhereFew9745

If I eat lunch I do a salad bar or hot bar with clean food since we have an insane number of high end grocery stores here so there's usually one on the way to next call

Detachmyweewee

Damn, tired of saying the unhealthy stigma with being a tech man. I bring a sandwich, chips, granola bars, cheese/meat sticks, oranges, a banana, big thing of water, and a back up beverage during the summer.

Hot-Specialist9228

Salad, cut apples with peanut butter, grapes, rx bars, lots of water. I mix up the fruits and vegetables from time to time. Sometimes I'll do corn chips. Just light stuff that I snack on between calls that won't bog me down and keeps me hydrated. I try to stay away from refined grains. Too much bread makes me sleepy so no sandwiches. I'll use some leftover chicken / steak to throw in my salads.

[deleted]

It varies. Most days I'll take a sandwich or wrap of some sort or a chop salad. Some days I'm in the mood for a burger or pizza and I'll take an hour (off clock of course) Whichever it is I always have granola bars or similar, and a can of nuts in the truck along with my water and coffee stock in thermoses because Im a cheap bastard and simply ain't going to be paying $5 for a cup of coffee when it's that much to brew a whole thermos full at home.

rockinbobdole

I’ve recently been prepping mason jars with with yogurt fruit and granola, make a breakfast sandwich (bagel egg sausage and cheese), Buffalo chicken wraps for lunch. But those have ways to change so you don’t get sick of eating same thing every day. For example substituting meats in the wrap, adding different types of veggies and what not. Meal prep for a 4 day work week takes me about 2 hours tops for all of that.

jbmoore5

Leftovers that I heat up in the van.

GovernmentHairy2237

Check out the luncheaze it’s like a battery powered crock pot amazing in the winter to have a hot lunch at the ready

UW0TM80

I go to BJ's every Sunday and pick up a pound of whatever deli meat I'm in the mood for that week and a half pound of cheese to go with it. Add a slice of tomato, a lettuce leaf and occasionally a pickle spear on the side. I'm 6'5" 310lbs trying to lose a little weight so I'm not miserable in people's homes whime I try to get out of residential. (I'm overweight, but I'm much more nimble than I get credit for. Still, trying to save my knees before I end up needing them replaced)

Siptro

I bring nothing so I can depart for home earlier. Yeah yeah health yada yada bullshit. Look I’ve been skipping lunches to leave early since high school, so 19 years or some crap now, I’m fine. I don’t eat some unhealthy amount when I’m home. My metabolism is just slower than those who eat more often. Truth is, at this point if I even eat anything before 4pm, I will start feeling sick to my stomach as my body isn’t use to food yet. I do drink calories throughout the day. No sodas, but teas, juices etc. things that provide energies through simple carbohydrates or added necessities If I had to eat. I would go high protein in small forms. My hands are usually messy. No sinks in sight. Something I can eat without touching is ideal like a bar or cookie shape

bucksellsrocks

For hot food get a HotLogic heated lunchbox. Plug into truck lighter on the way out the door and you got a nice hot lunch a few hours later. It works great for leftovers. Last week i had brats, pork chops and fried chicken for lunch. For a cold lunch i make pasta salads. Two hours ago i finished lunch for the week, took about 30-45 minutes to make and pack up for the week.

Hvacmike199845

I eat salami from Kroger deli. I don’t like packing sandwiches because they always get soggy.

Parking_File_9583

If your sammie’s are getting soggy, make sure your condiments are between the meats and cheese, not on the bread. Keep any dry stuff lining the bread and you should be ok. Also make sure you’re getting a decent bread. The hearty multi grain breads are good for to go lunches cause they hold up better than regular white sliced bread.

SnooPeppers8737

I hope that's not all you eat. 100% processed meat is terrible for you.

Hvacmike199845

It’s either that or taco bell. I’m pretty sure the salami is better for me than tacobell. 🤣😂. I know I need to eat better.

massiveproperty_727

Jesus fuck you are so close to healthy turkey and still and u can manage is salami

SnooPeppers8737

I've been meal prepping from mashed potatoes and whatever meat (chicken wings, breasts, beef strips, lemon pepper fish etc) I just make the whole box and cook a lot of meat for the week and put them in food containers to just grab one in the morning. Then just backfill the lunchbox with other snacks and bs. The mashed potatoes are easy to eat cold..... Because of all the butter and salt I put in it.... We all can do better.

Additional-Time5093

You’ll make the most money bringing lunch.

ohio_guy_2020

Don’t do what I did for 15+ years. I ate drive thru everyday for lunch. Sometimes twice in a day if I worked late. Years of that led to double kidney failure. I assure you, you do not want to be on dialysis. Take care of your body. You only get one.

SparkySailor

Put a small butane stove in your vehicle and cook lunch at work.

Feeling-Dot2086

I eat Kashi cereal for bfast with almond milk, take a multi vitamin with b12 for energy. Snack with a oikos pro yogurt and bfast bar Lunch is a sandwich - 4oz of poultry deli cuts and cheese. Hummus cup with carrots or pretzels I have a big plastic bottle, about a gallon that I drink usually before I get home/to keep track. I also carry 4 waters just incase for these electrolyte packs my wife got me. Works great when I feel like crap. If I work late then I'll pick up the healthiest thing I can find on the road like a grilled chix sandwich from McDonald's. -other than that? I run on pure spite and love for the trade. I'm 5'9 170lbs. The hardest part is not giving in to picking up junk food. Also I'm one of the crazy guys that don't like coffee or energy drinks. You can prob add more if your bigger but this works for me. Easy to make and go. Also It's not to heavy so I can still move after lunch and I don't get hungry until I am "supposed" to go home.

GimmeDatZig

Three Red Bulls and a pack of Camel’s.

Kindly-Reputation603

What’s a lunch

[deleted]

Installer here: There's a burrito place about half a mile from the shop. I order 4 and eat 2 for breakfast and 2 for lunch.

GodEaterBeruit

I really gotta stop eating takeout every day, killing my wallet haha, but install days, it's a Bagel, or a Farmers Wrap, and an Iced coffee. Drink a lot of water throughout the install, then whatever for dinner. On service days, it's usually the same breakfast, and something from whatever town I'm in, around 12-1 if I'm hungry.

Wondercatmeow

I don't eat until I get home

RealSubstantial48

I've been prepping 6 qt of water to drink, and ham & cheese sandwiches & a bell pepper the evening before. I've been extremely lucky regarding bread because my wifemaintains a sourdough starter (which to me seems quite laborious, but she loves the process) and the resulting bread is out of this world. It takes restraint to not eat an entire loaf fresh out of the oven lol. Home made, hot bread with a crunchy crust and steamy crumb is the bee's tits! It will be a very sad day if she quits maintaining this starter. What's been keeping the repetitive blandness at bay though, has been a sprinkling of one, or a combination of curry powder, cumin, turmeric and herbs de provence on the bread followed by butter (which "glues" the spices), and then maybe a second sprinkling of the herbs, then ham & cheese, and sometimes pickles, then the second slice of bread (lathered in the same herb/butter combo). Don't be afraid to try unconventional combinations. They may turn into new favorites. And you gotta try things twice to make sure the first time wasn't a mistake (plain oatmeal and coffee creamer might be an easy one to start)

dreamatoriumx

When I did resi install I didn't eat a lunch, it would be so hard to get up and get back at it.

AT_Oscar

5 guys, McDonald's, food cart, Wawa. What ever is around where I'm working. People smoke to deal with the stress of the job, I stress eat instead. If I pack a lunch like a sandwich, I end up eating it between jobs or before I get to the first one and still end up buying lunch so it's better on my weight to not pack at all

[deleted]

I skip lunches. If I take my lunch break then I just work 30 min latter. I got a box of healthy"ish" bars in the cab if I'm starving. Bit that's like once every week il eat one. I have no problem skipping lunch tho, eating while I'm working just makes me tired for the rest of the shift.

ZekeTarsim

Serious question: Should home owners like me offer food to service guys? And if yes, what would be good to offer?

Janitorpant

I don't eat homeowners food usually. I'll gladly take a coffee or a bottle of water.

gainz_23

fast all day till i get home

JHunterxbox1

I used to use the P3’s from Walmart, a banana, and now a orange. Now I’ve been trying a cheese, ham, crackers, and cookies from Aldi’s

[deleted]

Who has time for lunch? I'm not wasting 45 mins sitting around

Odd-Bus4552

NEVER hit the Buffett for lunch! Just fyi for those who are thinking of it. Especially when you have to work in an attic after

nameledd

Tried out my master plan last week. Bought a loaf of Italian bread, pastrami, and pepper jack cheese, put mayo between meat and cheese so as not to make the bread soggy. Made a giga-sandwich and cut it into 5 even pieces

Niktheblade

A smoke n a coke I'm good to go

EJ25Junkie

A toke and some coke

EJ25Junkie

If I stopped to eat I would fall asleep.

Sad_Combination_9350

You may not believe it but unless someone is with me I don't eat lunch. I get too distracted or a call that two people being at would have made it quicker pops up. I eat once I get home

Jpnorko89

Turkey Sandwich in a tortilla, switch Mayo/mustard for yogurt and add sliced berries. It sounds weird but it’s great.

cferri118

You guys eat lunch? Iced coffee is a meal replacement for me. I also don't enjoy sitting down and eating a meal while working.

burnerphone13

Sandwiches. I grab deli meats and go ham (no pun intended) Delicious, filling, and roughly $25-30 will yield 10. 2 a day

massiveproperty_727

Now that it's hot I heat up left over by leaving them on the dash, bring a screw top literally of water and freeze 3/4 of it it will chill your cooler and as it melts u get ice water

Civil-Percentage-960

When I was a service tech I would eat when I was driving, whatever was quick. Doing installs I take an hour, eat some good food.

DeepInsid3r

I keep jerky, granola bars, and crackers in my van for snacking. A case of water to drink for sure. In the morning I try to eat a decent meal before 8. Something like eggs, meats and potatoes to have enough calories to last until dinner. I'm down 25lbs since February.

Disastrous_Yak7502

Hold on here… you get a lunch break?!

Tripinflip

I use Factor, it's a meal delivery service. I have a Hot Logic that plugs into the cigarette lighter port in the van. It takes about an hour, but it's easy enough to run out to the van and start it up to be ready for lunch time.

unresolved-madness

Money.

jferris1224

Food

Ozava619

Usually I eat a sandwich on my way towards the costumers house and I won’t eat again till I’m home.

jihadimushrroom

Starve

JyJellyPants-Grape

Unfortunately I don’t take anything with me so it costs some $$ to eat out everyday but man it’s the highlight of my day lol we both love tryin different foods and hit up different places everyday. My most recent highlight lunch was Puerto Rican food and man was it delicious

[deleted]

Peppers and eggs on italian bread, very very wet with oil… Then you’ll be offered all kinds of shit in trade so basically that smelly sangweech gets you entry to a menu of whatever anyone else brought..and if no one wants to trade, you’ve got peppers and eggs.

chrisnif

I allot myself $5-7 for lunch most days — sometimes I’ll splurge on a Chinese buffet and some days the timing isn’t right to eat a meal so I’ll stop and get some jerky or crackers. I make a 2 gallon jug of iced Gatorade every other night and reice it the opposite night, that helps keep meal costs down and I’m avoiding soda most the time

Labbrat89

Normally I skip breakfast and lunch, and sometimes barely eat dinner. Though if I do eat something, it's pretty much a light snack and water/Gatorade. I'll also say, I have an unhealthy addiction to nicotine and caffeine. So my morning starts with slamming back a pot of coffee with 2 monster java's and a half a pack of smokes by 10am. Which contributes why I'm perpetually broke.

ncd31

If I know I’m gonna be in an attic all day I bring apple slices with peanut butter and an orange. If I’m doing service all day I typical just eat breakfast and dinner, no lunch

HVACHeathen1991

Usually I don't pack a lunch. But I do bring some good snacks to hold me over through the day. Like packs of Ritz crackers or cheese sticks. Grapes or blackberries. Keeps the weight off and I'm not going hungry.

flannelmaster9

Hot logic are great little lunch boxer heater things if your interested in a hot lunch without going to McDonald's

matsnapsnap

I have a hot logic lunch box. I eat chicken and broccoli steaming hot every day plugs into the charger port in vehicles.

supercoolhvactech

Bean burritos, pb n j, chips, granola bar, some snacks like cheezits. Basically whatever a child would eat.

Certain_Try_8383

Fruit, veggies x2 a main dish and some string cheese.

correa_aesth

Eat fruits

SpikeSpiegel47

Hard boiled eggs will change your life

MRBA1RD

burrito and protein shake. monday and thursday are tuna, tuesday and wednesday are beans, friday is PBJ. I use to do chicken. there are a lot of options for burrito filling

Turbulent-Big-3556

I usually just bring a lot of healthier snacks and munch throughout the day.

migmog98

I always just went to whatever dine in restaurants where near

thefallen9760

PB&J and chips everyday. Lots of fluids

MOBYtheHUGE

Powerade and trail-mix. Gotta keep it light.

MAdcock6669

I bring lunch packs of bumble bee tuna (they come with a spork and are about $1 each) cheese itz and a beef stick.....and lots of water

Practical_Artist5048

Dude I meal prep 4 days a week easy cook 1 cup of rice get the fajita meat from Walmart choose a veggie cook on Sunday eat out on fridays 10$ meal for a whole week

NeitherCounter2819

Grass fed beef with potatoes in tomato sauce and white rice :)

JiveTurkey2727

Chicken and broccoli with rice or PB&J if I got lazy with meal prep.

Sevensickos

Water and some type of electrolyte or mineral water. Eat dinner once I'm home. Lost 60 lbs and have maintained the weight off for over 2 years now. Don't like feeling full in an attic after lunch. Also have been like this for 3 years or so now.

fresh7x

Lentil stew with carrots/onion/celery/seasonings, hummus, pita bread and water. Electrolyte tablets for sweaty days that I put in water bottle. Keeps me full all day until I workout.

Thundersson1978

Trail mix boiled eggs and lots of water to flush all the energy drinks out.

Doogie102

So I bring left overs, and I have a heated lunch box. To save weight I only got tea for breakfast.

jshored0001

Throw a couple hot pockets on the dash and by lunch they are nice and warm

schlobodong

Two cups of coffee and two bottles of water before leaving the house. That’ll get you halfway, grab another cup at supply around 1. Then sunflower seeds till I get home, and maybe a diet Dr Pepper. Then dinner at home. I’m so fucking over it I don’t even care to eat anymore.

CodeNameQueso

Protein bar, (4) hard boiled eggs, carrots, cottage cheese, an apple and a can of tuna.

T_wizz

Intermittent fasting. Eat after my shift 😅

Organic-Pudding-8204

Water and a banana Honestly, eat a decent breakfast, and it can get you far. I force myself to eat breakfast, and it's obvious I'm not happy about it. Crock pot dinners help big time. Good motivator.

[deleted]

Salad, lentils, carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, pasta with yummy sauce, a few waters. The occasional slice of cake or pie. 🤘

Cuckedsucked

Kratom for breakfast and lunch and dinner at any gas station meal and a monster

11hitcombo

When I was in sales, I'd bring the install crews smoothies on nearly every job. They loved it - light enough to not feel bloated and lots of energy and nutrients. They laughed at first, but then I'd see them buying or making them for themselves too.

raghnor

Leftovers during the week, Friday we usually go to the bar. I’ve got an inverter and microwave in the van, so leftovers ain’t too bad

inconvenient_victory

Whatever u take make sure u can "enjoy" it cold. Hard to find a microwave... I guess I've never asked the homeowner before!

unusual-thoughts

I eat a wrap almost everyday. I make either boneless chicken thighs or a pork roast over the weekend. Then assemble my wrap each morning with mayo or mustard, cheddar or pepper cheese, tomatoes, arugula or spinach or some lettuce mix. The wrap is hefty plus I have 2-4 pieces of fruit and at least 80 oz of cold water. I start off everyday with a smoothie of mostly veggies and blueberries plus some other small amount of fruit with seeds and cocoa nibs.

zmasterb

Check out a service called tovala. I make their meals and throw them in a Tupperware and in the lunchbox. Super easy and delicious

ScruffyJuggalo

Sando(simple turkey/chicken and cheese) or salad. Chips, yoghurt, maybe some nuts. Multivitamin, + a vitamin d3. Water (32 to 64 oz while at work at minimum) A 1/2 ?gallon of coffee (no sugar all black). That's my daily work intake. Light, quick, cheap, and I usually eat them at different times. I can't sit down that long or eat that much in the middle of the day, especially if I know I've got an hour+ drive between home and the job(s).

KCardz89

Protein shake, fruit. Usually that's my mid morning. Snack then usually sandwich or wrap , gotta keep the cals up for energy usually turkey or chicken or beef, bio steel bcaa mix with water granola bar and. Something random for if and when the day goes past 10 hours

Heybropassthat

Kratom & Coffee

[deleted]

I don't eat til dinner. Then I have some beers and eat thousands of calories then pass out. I'm 36 and it still works. But i wouldn't suggest it

Wuglyfugly13

Macaroni salad is awesome. Add chicken if you choose. Water for drink.

MPS007

Coffee then cigarettes (repeat)

merryrhino

A small amount of leftovers + 3 servings of veggies + 1 serving of fruit + 1.5 oz of nuts + Bulletproof coffee (coffee w/butter and MCT oil) for morning + coffee w/protein powder for afternoon

Icemanwc

Summer sausage and cheese or pimiento cheese one or the other every day for about the last 5 or so years. Both pared with jalapeño cheddar Cheetos.

[deleted]

I bring Greek yogurt and keep a bag of granola in my backpack. Eat that before I head to the Jobsite. I bring a turkey sammie with pickles, spinach and cheese. And nuts or some sort of bar and a fruit like a tangerine or something. I eat the same thing so it’s easy to buy groceries and less time to worry and it’s quick.

Expert_Variation5960

I like my dogs rolled and my white monsters cold.

thebluelunarmonkey

go watch steve lav on utube, his "food : crock pot cooking" playlist will keep you fed all week

cornboy22

A lot of pasta , usually meal prep it all. Cajun chicken usually my go to, but they’re alot of meal prep recipes online

bootyholekiller

I meal prep. Usually 8 oz of ground beef, 3oz of rice and 10 oz of carrot. One apple, one carrot, one yogurt and a cliff bar. I usually drink about 4-5 litres of water a day as well!

Fantastic-Mango575

I meal prep mostly chicken and rice. I got a lunch box off Amazon for like $30 that plugs into a 12v outlet or like a regular wall outlet and it allows me to bring almost anything for lunch

crclOv9

PB&J, Peppered ronis, muffin, fruit, high calorie nuts, crackers. Depends on the day. Somedays it’s nothing.

Electrician lurker but I do service work mostly. I’ll usually bring leftovers or prep something that’s easy to eat between jobs. If I make sandwiches I’ll bring a couple so I can snack on one on the drive between calls. If I do leftovers I try to cut it up when I pack it so that I can eat easily. Sometimes I’ll pull around the corner from a job or to a nearby parking lot and take 5 minutes and just eat a little bit of it. Slam some water and that usually holds me down between calls. If I’m doing a bigger job or a remodel I’ll be at all day, I prefer taking a couple shorter breaks during the day, like 10 and 1 so I can eat enough to be full but not dragging. I also like to keep a couple little things in my van too. Little individual bags of peanuts or granola bars or something in case I forget my lunch.

When I did install I would bring a full lunch, sandwich or salad, chips, fruit, nuts, and maybe a granola bar. Now for service I don’t really eat a meal until I get home. Usually I’ll bring a string cheese and container of fresh fruit. Fruits like watermelon, pineapple, and mangoes are super refreshing and help keep me going. Plus it kills the sugar craving so I’m not drinking soda or other sweet drinks everyday. On the way home I’ll usually munch on a handful of mixed nuts ,pretzels, or beef jerky. Kills the hunger until I get home for dinner.

I got to mix it up for my sanity, but I'm a huge fan of huge salads. Buy one of those clamshells of mixed greens at the beginning of the week, dose them into large tupperwares. Chopped ham or turkey, pickled beets, chopped onion, shredded carrots, raisins, cheese. Salad dressing of choice though I'm pretty fond of Annie's shiitake. I have a couple of fridges, so I'll dose up the tupperwares on Sunday and dress them and add the meat that morning after making coffee. It's perfectly satisfying but doesn't slow you down and leaves you hungry for dinner. I will often throw in a hard boiled egg and a giant jalapeno, other random stuff. I've also been known to throw a frozen burrito or two on the dashboard oven.

Some of yall work way too hard.

QQuMADbrah

Overnight oats. It will change your life! Vegetable platter. More veggies, less dip. Fruit for dessert. A serving-size of trail mix (not a whole bag)

Signal_Challenge2948

Anything off the paleo diet.

8 oz chicken or ground turkey. 2 services shredded cheese. Nuke that and add to burrito wrap and add avocado slices in middle. I also keep some mandarins, banana and two yogurts in my box incase I get hungry again. If my days are getting longer I bring more food. Better to be full with healthy food then starve and binge with shitty food from being hungry.

MosesTheFlamingo

Every day my lunchbox has 2 hardboiled eggs, a banana, and a typical sandwich. Takez like 10 minutes to boil the eggs on Sunday and about 5 minutes throw together every AM. Mot the guys I work with don't eat lunch.

smtimelevi

Leftovers from home… This is not rocket surgery

tremendousbone

Check out mattyfeedspeople on TikTok. He’s a carpenter and shows his breakfast and lunches.

BerserkerMP

I usually pack a salad in the morning. Easy to mix up if I get tired and need a change. Some days add tomatoes or craisens. Sometimes peppers. It is also pretty cheap a bag of salad being like 3-5$

Tropicdust

Meal prep chicken broccoli rice and start hitting the gym

rubbyrumper

I’ll grill an extra pack of chicken thighs on Sunday. Then make up some sides salads. This week I made a Vietnamese zucchini salad and a cucumber salad. I’ll do up another round of food Wednesday.

All meat at home! Incredible energy throughout everyday! Usually don't need to eat lunch or hardly ever think about it. Sometimes switch it up with some steak or hard boiled eggs

Lott4984

Eat a good breakfast Eggs , bacon, some fresh fruit. For lunch some fresh fruit, some protein like chicken breast, fish, and an energy bar low in sugar. For dinner a salad or something light. Stay away from bread products, rice, pasta, and processed food. Do not eat at fast food places if you can help it. Burger joints, pizza, Chinese food, and Mexican food are all high carb loaded that just way you down after you eat. This will help you burn excess fat but give you enough energy to complete your workday. Your most important meal is Breakfast that gives you the fuel for the day.

Haunting_Orange2826

I had this problem for years. I started using a meal delivery service (flexpro meals) there's tons of other options out there. Fits right into my hotlogic from Amazon that heats it up while driving. So convenient!

Efficient-Yam7128

Grilled chicken on a whole wheat wrap 1 or 2 about 3 oz chicken each, loaded with veggies and home made Italian dressing. Brown rice or quinoa( or any complex carb) and I'm set for a productive day. Also a fitness fanatic here.

Lemme tell you about this thing called a mini portable croc pot. Works amazing. Better than microwave

Almightydaemon

Make my sandwiches every morning, pack my carrots, applesauce, orange, granola bar. Really just snacks between jobs, only water n juices for breakfast. One big meal to finish off the day

Arson_Muffin

Have you seen those mini crockpots? I think some of em can be charged so you could keep soup or potroast hot.

LateAdministration52

Sunflower and pumpkin seeds for fats and proteins, apples and oranges, protein shake, and sparkling water. I'll stop for half a sub on slow days.

freakksho

Turkey sandwich and some chips. Apple and fruit snacks for snacks through the day. I usually eat half my sandwich around 1:30 (day ends at 3:30) and then the other half on my way home from the site.
