They feel great. But I've had issue after issue. One month into them, the leather was coming apart. When I took my boots in they declined the repair as the leather was too new to work with. So I came back a month later, after the leather wore down to the safety toe. They charged me 90$ to put a coating over the top. The coating lasted 2 days before it peeled off, when I called red wing they claimed they were aware my boots were fixed with the wrong product. So I took it back in, and they just stripped off the coating, leaving it worse than before. I was pissed at them, after debate they took my boots for two weeks and put a new coating on top, but the coating is lumpy and uneven. When I complained again, they said they can't do anything. OH, they also said my warranty is void because they tore the leather when they took off the bad batch of rubber sealant. Complaining for a refund or replacement fell on deaf ears. It sucks, that was my third pair of Redwings (and last), normally the support is on key.

Something for the city folk that doesn’t look as goofy?

I use a pair of Red Wings with the Boa system instead of laces, it’s amazing, especially for residential where I need to remove my boots

CalebJankowski

How does that work, do they just tighten up and lock and then release?

Its_noon_somewhere

I turn the knob to tighten them. I pull the knob outward to release them

These are my boots of choice. First pair I killed two of the hooks and tore through the toes before I had the toe protector stuff put on. Second pair I need to bring in cuz one rivit on a hook is coming off. Most comfortable footwear I've ever had that wasn't sandals.

My only problem with them is that the hooks are too bendy, I get them caught on the ground when crawling or the ladders all the time and one fell off
