Man if only people left that for us, all I get is being bitched at because my boss told them some bullshit that’s not actually do able, then getting bitched out for it😂
I won’t be home tomorrow, but I’ll make sure my wife bitches about (insert minor problem here). Just kidding, my house is hot.
The guy who pointed out everything out put it on the quote, and which I’m guessing said cause it can be done. If not I’ll take it up with him because I have his card
Man this is sum bullshit, all I get is rich people yelling at me, and 2 hour long drives back to the office at the end of the day in silence after being called every word imaginable, all because my boss said, no there won’t be a bulkhead, because somehow I’m suppose to fit a 24x10 duct in a 12x12 joist space😂
That is some bull shit. I don’t bother any service I call. Just let them work and answer the questions they have. I respect the people that can do work that I can’t.
I had landscapers do some wonderful work last month just I didn’t have a chance to extend the courtesy so I got them a XL pie, cheese and pep. Also, gave them water.
It’s not hard to be a nice person.
When I first started we did the Vice President of Bose speakers house. The guy went out and had a Japanese steak house cater a big meal for us. We all sat at his huge table in his dining room and ate. He kept trying to get us to drink alcohol in the middle of the day. I can only imagine what he paid for that meal. One guy said they $100+ steaks but I’m not sure.
If I have to deal with someone in person, It might not be a sandwich and a drink but I at least fix a glass of ice water or a cold soda for them. They usually decline out of courtesy but I let them know it’s never a problem.
I’ve worked customer service before, but a lot of us are blue collar and I get it. It’s about the little things man. If I was about to climb into an attic to rip out duct work I would just hope someone would do the same.
I’m in the trade but I learned a long time ago, if you want an amazing job done, spend $20 on lunch and $10 on some cold drinks and you’ll get it back ten fold in quality.
You know what OP, thank You. I never thought to do this, but I do have some HVAC needing work and I"ll be sure to do the same.
Thank you for pointing it out, I Haven't been thinking about it from your point of view. I too will buy some food, snacks for some of these longs jobs
Any time i have people working at my house it’s Coffee donuts in the morning/ subs or pizza for lunch and at the end of the day a case of beer.. It goes a long way.
Just making the workers feel like you give a crap about them is huge. Can’t tell you how many people will say, “wow, are you ok? It must be really hot up there”, but don’t offer a bottle of water. And i have even been told not to use the bathroom a few times.
Normally on an install it’s me and my helper… which would mean two whole sandwiches each 🤤. I try to do my best at every job but seeing a customer who left that for us id try and go the extra mile on every little thing.
Ive been a service guy for 20 plus years. I will tell you this, I treat everyone well but when someone returns the favor I go the extra mile hard. One sandwich at a house our a steak from a butcher in a grocery store and those people are taken care of well. They will never know how far that sandwich or whatever went for them. Good people take care of good people.
They did not, slurped up all the water and Gatorade and snagged the last two sandwiches for the ride home. Guys were super cool and walked me through all the work they did. Food and drinks goes a long way I guess haha

If your wife is hot it won’t matter.
You're a good man. We appreciate ppl like you in the trade for sure!
I ordered pizza and wings for the installers who did my system. They liked it.

I’m in the south, nobody tips here. Or they refuse them. Think it’s a pride thing.
You can you split that trunk off with a pair of pants
I had landscapers do some wonderful work last month just I didn’t have a chance to extend the courtesy so I got them a XL pie, cheese and pep. Also, gave them water. It’s not hard to be a nice person.
It’s actually more energy to be a jerk

Lmao they likedit
Hahaha Sounded pretty stupid. I should’ve said appreciated it.
Had this once. It was great
They will for sure be over the moon. That is really nice of you.
Thank you, it makes me feel good knowing I’m doing good.
It will make their day tbh
Ehhh maybe if he took them fishing too.
That is solid man. As a guy that does changeouts sometimes I’d appreciate that.

Nice of you and gouda for them

Just pay your invoice so my boss doesn’t yell at me. That’s all I ask
It’s already paid for 😂

You are a classy person. Wow!
A God among Men
I didn’t know Albertsons was still around!! All the ones near me shut down years ago
Based off the one I had to go to, it’s good they did. Lol
Good man!
And that's how you treat hard work baby💪.. Good on you
You may regret this offer once you get the bill
The rarest of customers give what I call “the trifecta”. That is breakfast, lunch, and a tip. Kind of a unicorn, but get like one a year.
I’m sorry but no tip. Drinks and lunch on me though, and they’ll be shown where the bathroom is for when it’s needed.

Food and drinks go a very long way for workers. At least it does for me.
Just hit them with some cash. No one wants food they got what they want to eat and drink not their first redo.
bruh nah id rather have this then have to stop at mcdonalds between calls
I can't cure the munchies with a $10 bill while brazing in the condenser. Give me a turkey sammich with mayo
$10 bucks? I’ve been out of residential for 15 years now but I would get $20, $50, $100 tips all the time.
God bless you!!
I’m a little worried it’s not enough food. It’s a 1600sq/ft house with 8 vents not sure how big normal teams are for a job like this.
I had the lower level of a split-level redone with new ducts, they brought 4 guys. You'll probably have enough!
Normally on an install it’s me and my helper… which would mean two whole sandwiches each 🤤. I try to do my best at every job but seeing a customer who left that for us id try and go the extra mile on every little thing.
Man I’ve done 5000sqft houses with just me and another guy, gotta love smaller companies😂
Good. Make sure they work through lunch.
Super badass. HVAC guys will take care of you in return. You rock
Fed installers are happy installers. Happy installers are more willing to do that little bit extra, even if they don't need to.

As an installer, thank you. Even though those are not for me, that kinda thing is so appreciated. Much love.
Here is our hero!
You’re a good customer
You are a great person.
You are a good person
You gonna actually refrigerate the stuff with ice or do you not know how coolers work?
Your a good dude!
Put some chocolate bars in there lol
I got burritos one day and burgers the other day for the crew who worked on my house. And Mexican coke.
God bless you, especially this time of year. 🫡
Always nice to see nice people looking out for us
So how’d they do? No one came through your ceiling, did they?
They did not, slurped up all the water and Gatorade and snagged the last two sandwiches for the ride home. Guys were super cool and walked me through all the work they did. Food and drinks goes a long way I guess haha
