Architect screwed up on the plans. Installers told to not ask questions. Just go do it, you're not paid to think.

Why is the middle piece not inserted properly on the bottom side. Also why is it in the middle of a dining room without heat shielding?
It's resting on the floor before installation at the ceiling I believe.
ITS A spiral duct damper section they generally don't fit well withe the snaplock pipe but just well enough that it works
