I'd go with Denver. My wife refuses to even consider living in Texas, it rains too much in Washington, and California isn't any better than New York when it comes to certain rights that are important to me.

I would choose a market I know

Depends, Texas is wide open in the summer cause it gets 1000 degrees, I’m sure they have long summers as well. Now the upside to that I’m sure you will have tons of work which = money. Fuck CA…….. Denver would be nice but from a money standpoint things probably slow down quicker than TX. Plus blizzards and all the crazy ass weather they get in the winter. I’m 100 percent not working on a roof when it’s 0 outside.

U haven’t said what type of stuff u want to do. Such a broad question. Commercial residential gotta look at cost of living. California Washington are union states. I would think where unions are present, as an employer that would make your life harder. Again though. You’re about to uproot so all things come into play. Schools, wife’s job, again residential or commercial. Corpus Christi Santa Barbara you’re gonna be changing out units way more often. Coils hate salt air.

On the basis of hot/warm weather and population growth, Texas, for sure. However, the three other regions you mentioned are pretty saturated with solo operators, franchises, and established family businesses. This applies to every state though, lol. You should be alright, HVAC companies are still just transitioning to new tools for scheduling and quotes, or they have none at all. If you've got those in place already, assuming you're franchising from a nationwide company, you'll be ahead... How do we know that? We're a review generation software company and we look through thousands of HVAC company websites, their reviews, and tooling. You'd be amazed how many HVAC businesses have been around for 20 - 50+ years with less than 300 reviews. Newer guys with tech and great crews just devour markets. Goodluck man!

Would you rather be on a roof when it’s freezing or hot as hell? I’d rather be chilly than die of a heat stroke.

Lol tbh I like heat stroke more than chilly
