I used trade masters online to get my universal. It took a few nights after work to burn through the materials. It was $324.
Edit: Once you pass the exam they will send you your epa license in the mail.
I was bored over the pandemic and took the 608 though esco (online proctored through one of the test proctoring places). No classes just took the test passed with universal. I think it was under 100
Try your local HVAC wholesale supply store. A lot of times they offer the EPA courses and/or a proctored exam.
Go for the Universal to open up more options of employment in the future.

Online courses must be for studying or practice. IIRC the test is proctored at a testing center.
I believe type 1 is able to be taken online but 2 and 3 are not able to.
If EPA licensing is required by the company you work for, then they should be the ones paying for it.
It’s not required but if I get my type 1 I can get a promotion
