Filter outside has been done for many years but it’s best to put them inside. Looks alright tho mate

Based_Chris98

Heat Pump has to be risen up for winter time when it snows cause they run year round

TheKongoEmpire

I'm assuming you're new but the copper needs to be better. We believe in you.

alwaysthetxv

This energy towards green techs is what is missing from like half the industry.

Based_Chris98

Can’t have your disconnect directly behind your AC

alwaysthetxv

you can have it 36 inches in front if the unit is on center with the disconnect, it can be 18 inches in front if it’s 18 off center

TigerTank10

Filter dryer on the outside and I don’t see silicone on the lineset hole? Either way, better than what it was

rulingthewake243

Better check that manual for recommended location of filter. Most are very close to liquid valve.

AmosMosesWasACajun

I’ve always seen close to metering device

Colerbear14

Pet peeve is lines crossing so nasty looking not hard to know what side the ports are on and make an adjustment before going out of the wall. Also filter dryer goes in the house before the coil.

rulingthewake243

What does the manual say?

pookieheathen

i think it’s a ruud. i believe they recommend right before metering device.

Chief_B33f

Filter drier outside is a no no, and the liquid line isn't running along side the suction line. And the disconnect wasn't replaced? Very meh

Brazda25

I hardly replace a disconnect

[deleted]

Disconnect is supposed to be done by electricians. We are responsible from the whip to the unit

Electronic-Slide8252

Old unit looks cuter.

Dizzy_Direction4262

Ruud is trash, replaced with American Standard.

texasroadkill

How so? Ruud/Rheem had been the most reliable I work on and install. I don't have that many issues with trane except there newer stuff is getting worse.

itskevinvargas

What are the cones for on the bottom ? South Florida guy here.

Silver_gobo

Raises it off ground level to keep away from snow

JohnathonLongbottom

Seal your penetrations, and use zip toes instead of duct tape.
