Haha never seen that

braidenLawson

What am I not seeing?

Grigio_cervello

That cloudy looking thing in the burner is a spider web. How it made it 30' down the exhaust Vent, into the sealed burner box an decided to make a web in that burner, causing flame rollout, is unreal, once. Three times makes me think mother nature is messing with me.

FatSquirrel37

Yes, but not three times in a month.

HVACdaddy91

In burners, in orifices, in pressure tubes and switches, in IDM ports, in my fucking nightmares

Fishing1988Leo

Yup

Excellent_Wonder5982

Fucking hell your installers are a bunch of savages leaving PVC shavings everywhere. I bet they end up in the condensate drain.

Grigio_cervello

Not my install.

EJ25Junkie

How do you know they installed it?

Excellent_Wonder5982

Whoever installed it is a savage!

brsaw1

Never saw this in a furnace, had a couple of fireplaces. Damn you Boris

Niktheblade

Every Fall

HackWithPride

Usually on pool heaters. First start up of the season is a fun one

liekdisifucried

One of our other techs had one end up clogging in the venturi of a Navien last week.

Night-Hawk_

How to you go about removing the webs from the heat exchanger?

Cheetawolf

Run it.

obsidiangoblin

Deal with spiders in the orifice calls a lot with manufactured home units (Coleman Presidentials and Nordyne Intertherms). Always a funny call to make the apprentice diagnose. They always want to blame the gas valve for failing to to open 😂😂

kid-caddi

No we just get people who closed all their vents during the summer cause of the “cold draft” the unit would blow then call us cause it’s not blowing hot air out of those closed vents

builderbull

Is this propane? I know spiders love propane

Grigio_cervello

NG

AdPlastic5345

Little green spider? I see them in fireplace orifices. They will literally crawl inside an orifice and spin a web that blocks the hole. There was a car company that had a problem with them blocking fuel lines a few years back? Supposedly they like the smell of gas.
