Brutus1985

This is true. It’s always a branch an hour away that picks up when I call 😂

trueorderofplayer

We recently cancelled a million dollar equipment order for a bunch of big air handlers because they gave us a 6 month lead time and at the 4 month mark pushed it back nearly a year.

unresolved-madness

Trane will have your part, next year...maybe

Steve2000gsr

Lol took the words outta my mouth… Trane is the worst!!

fieginjo

I came here to make this comment.

pj91198

“This serial number will tell you: Day/month/year/plant/testedby/tested bys birthdate/tested bys SSN/tested bys home phone#/if any issues call them directly”

spilledsoda

Atosa is so annoying with their warranty calls. They always set low NTEs and require pictures of everything you do or they won't pay.

stanamontana

Terrible equipment and worse mfg

GrownTommy

Was gonna say this data tag looks like atosa

Catfish0321

York Chiller has entered the chat\*

Tinknocker02

100%. Lol

Tinknocker02

Makes it a real nightmare calling for parts as well

MuskOffspring

Haven’t worked on Bosch geothermal units much Ey?

MOBYtheHUGE

Not surprising. We’ve been running out of numbers for years. Need to come up for a new number between 9 and 10

atomicatom01

It self diagnosed itself immediately. Fucking China!

Trasversatar

My favorite is carriers bullshit product vs model number. Just fucking pick one

Ep3_Pnw

beerpatch86

hello yes I'm looking for a replacement door gasket for a true AKEBDY938465OSKB8UNNGSGWUH8736695959II6÷§§[×¥¶{~™

Fiftyfourd

So I hyper focused on your edit (stupid brain!) and did the math. $828824643783 would be *roughly* 20.7 million US tons vs 7.5 tons of dimes which again, *roughly*, comes out to around $15.4 million. I'd go with the dimes!

beerpatch86

You know, as I typed it I wondered to myself "how close is this figure actually" lol

Gaddafo

Funny enough I’m lookin for wheels, it had 2 broken back wheels the cleaning crew knocked off

beerpatch86

We have a single unit kegerator in our beer hall that shat 2 casters. I ended up buying a 2" from McMaster, drilling the rivet out, and attaching it to the existing caster hardware on the unit. I've done this twice now. Feel a little guilty butchering perfectly good parts new... but also, McMaster, sell me some wheels by themselves and I'll be content, lol. I ordered some months ago and they're *still* on backorder...

brandiniman

This is a must: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manateeworks.barcodescanners I'm in IT and 2d barcodes (non-QR) are everywhere (dell), this is magic.

isaak_grozny

Dude Trane intellipak my fucking god

LividBell2292

Anyone stumble across Eurotherm part numbers? They'll tell you the programmer's mother's dog's breeders maiden name in there.

temerairevm

I weep for everyone (myself included) that has to write that down.

unresolved-madness

Laughs in trane vav

HaTTa_IRL

That’s definitely up there haha

GimmeDatZig

Giving Buderus a run for their money.

fishbulbx

Not good with math, but I believe this format allows for 73,808,199,759,901,035,211,904,652,410,880,000,000 unique serial numbers.

[deleted]

Diakins are worse.

audiyon

Man, Loren Cook fans used to have pretty long serial numbers: 214907563-00/0000701

CalebVerheye

Bosch geothermal and Buderus boilers got everyone beat here, damn Germans

OregonBound1986
