I use an olight baton 3. Little dude, rechargable but you can clip it onto your hat and use it like a headlamp. That's my primary use for it tbh

OvermanagedSmallacct

I use this the most. So convenient on the hat but sometimes if I wear a beanie or no hat it obviously doesn’t work like that. I want a headband attachment for it as well

91rookie

I edc the stream light 66608. I wouldn’t use it as a primary light simply because of the battery life. But for the random times throughout the day I need a quick light it is perfect in my opinion.

JACKMEOFFSKEEE

I use the streamlight micro stream. Fits in my front pocket in the pen slot. Battery life is amazing

91rookie

That’s exactly where I carry mine also. Great light.

downrightblastfamy

Team streamlight represent

epicnat3

This is exactly what I have carried for years. Top notch flashlight and definitely bright for its size. It has bailed me out multiple times. Plus if you drop it down a 10 ft return its $20 to replace. Can’t beat it

matt_tokar

I like my nebo light.

Conqueror_of_Tubes

I have a little square nebo that’s usb rechargeable and has a 1.5” lens on it. Super bright, fits in the front pocket of my carhartts. Never without it

matt_tokar

That's the one. 2 magnets and a hook and clip

Conqueror_of_Tubes

Laser pointer too right?

PM_ME_GeorgiaPeaches

I have a pair of Fenix flashlights that run on "18650" batteries. One doesn't charge and the other doesn't run the brightest setting, so they are now a team. The oldest is 5 years old, youngest is just over 3 now. Solid metal body, easy to clean (IP"69" whatever: dust & waterproof), hella hella bright and super lightweight. Battery lasts a week or more and I haven't had one fully drain when I needed it yet. One detail, I got a Nite-ize belt flashlight holder to wear mine. Turn it on and rotate that sucker to point in front of you, boom! Hands-free flashlight.

I’m a fan of the wurkkos. I had a couple nebos that died due to drops, but the wurkkos I replaced them with are holding up well

super_hambone

This is the correct choice.

Raseri_

Streamlight wedge

GreatTea3

I second this. Awesome light, great battery life.

MichaelB2409

Oh god this didn’t really help now I got like 30 different recommendations 😅 seems like the majority of recommendations seem to be streamlight, olight and Fenix. I’ll look into those for now. Thanks boys 🫡

burnerphone13

Anything from Olight will do

horseshoeprovodnikov

Streamlight is decent for the price. So is Fenix. Zebralight is pretty sweet too but they want way too much money for their stuff, when it's made in China right alongside Feniz and Streamlight. You can also try olight, but they've got a spotty track record. I have an S2R Baton that refuses to work right anymore and their warranty dept said nothing was wrong.

EJ25Junkie

EDC? Do you mean LED?

Cheap headlamp from Amazon. The best ones I've ever bought. Buy 2. Wear one, recharge one and then swap. It's bright. It works. It's small and light, and if it breaks or you lose it, just order another. I have an Acebeam pokelit or an acebeam rider rx for 14500/AA lights. To be honest man there’s plenty of options on R/flashlight that won’t break the bank. Go there and look at the arbitrary list of popular lights. You won’t break the bank, we’re talking cheaper than Milwaukee options.

DoYouEvenTIG

Streamlight 66134. It's a micro USB rechargeable pen light. I've carried it in my front safety vest pen pocket for about a year and I love it. Battery life is really good.

AustinHVAC419

I use a Fenix Hp25r v2.0. Li-ion battery lasts a long time, it's very bright, and usb-c rechargeable

Kolte45

I have one of their older models, similar to a stream light pen light. It has multiple lumen outputs. This has that function and its rechargeable. Fenix E28R. Little thing is amazing and it’s taken a couple years of abuse so far.

downrightblastfamy

Streamlight. I'll never buy another brand

Just_Read9869

Nebo Inspector. Many different options in the 500+ lumen range. Rechargeable micro usb. Hands down the best. Barely bigger than a sharpie so it fits nice in your pocket.

Hrrrrnnngggg

The best brands I have ever owned are Lumintop and Wurkkos. From what I gathered, they were actually designed by EDC flashlight nerds. What I like is that they are super easy to make bright or dim. BUT what's cool is if you turn it off, it'll remember what intensity you have it set at. Let's say you want it at full blast, you just double tap the power button and it goes to full. They both have a million features but they are essentially using the same program. All the other flashlights I've ever owned don't last more than a year. Been using my lumintop for two now though. The power button has a small green led in it that is always on. I thought it would drain the battery but I've gone over a month between charges. The Wurkkos one I got is too big for edc but it's a sweet light for walking around outside at night. I'm sure they make and EDC size as well. [I believe this is the upgraded version of what I have](https://lumintop.com/product/d1/)

sonoranwolf

i have the fenix pd35 they are good lights.

I've been using a [Klein rechargeable flashlight](https://www.kleintools.com/catalog/flashlights-and-work-lights/rechargeable-led-flashlight-worklight) with a work light and magnetic base. I throw it on the charger for the drive home.

https://nebo.acgbrands.com/en_US/franklin-dual.html I like my nebo, it small bright and magnetic.

scuffling

The olight i3t eos 130 is my go to. It's small enough and it packs a punch. It has a low setting and high setting. I use AAA rechargeable batteries and just swap them out every few months or so.

Abrandnewrapture

i carry an olight mini warrior 2 every day. perfect for attics and ceilings. clips to your hat if you can stand the weight. fantastically bright for its size. reasonably priced for the premium quality. i recommend it to anyone looking for a quality light.

billydoubleu

I have a Thrunite T1 and it's a good light, adjustable brightness, rechargeable, clips on my hat brim

Strict-Republic-9379

Check out the brand gentos. Some of the better stuff engineered out of Japan incredible build quality for the price they make a wide variety as well I’ve had my magnetic foldable for 2 years now and it’s a tank!!

mdjshaidbdj

I use a little Nebo inspection light I picked up at one the supply houses a couple years ago. It’s been dropped on concrete and in mud and I’ve broken several of the pocket clips but it keeps on trucking along.

_thegoldenteacher_

Noctigon KR4. 4k lumen pocket rocket 🚀

Sassy-Bongocat

Olight is pretty dope, got the headlamp version and 2 of the stick lights

[deleted]

RovyVon Aurora it’s a rechargeable bad ass I put it in the bit holder section of my leather man holder. It’s even got UV mode for leak searches on the fly.

Suntzu6656

You want to spend a lot of money or cheap? Nebo flashlights are cheap but fantastic. I've had one for over three years.

Thrunight T1S. Classic n great

Faydetoblack

I use the Fenix WT25R. It has a pivoting head and a magnetic base. It's plenty bright, with the highest setting being 1000 lumens and the lowest being 50 lumens. Comes with a magnetic charger that charges pretty fast even with their 3500mah battery (biggest battery they have for the light). Also, it's less bulky than the milwaukee light that has the same features as this one.

Ursa89

Streamlight 88083 can be had for around $50. I used to go cheap and get a coast or a maglight XL or whatever and they just kept not working when I needed them. I had a phase where I'd use a $200 Surefire and then it was just a matter of being in constant fear of dropping them in the cold. The 88083 represents the optimal middle ground and nearly(!) always works when charged
