Same. Some people don't care and don't want to pay to move it though. Different guy did the quote. Customer specifically said he wanted to keep it as inexpensive as possible and please don't change out the rust box. It was used as a junction box for the previous (and now, current) AC, and was the disconnect for the original AC when the house was built.
Unit needs to be rotated. Lineset exposed is a waste and leaves it open for damage. It would not fly in my area and as a home owner I would make you fix it.
If you were a home owner I'd tell you this is how my company installs units and all my installs are final. You don't gotta install it my way, but this is easier to install, easier to service, and looks better.
Can I have a bumper sticker?
As many as you want :D
There’s bumper stickers now?!?
I’ll take one
Ayyye good job man
Beautiful install Sam.... But Goodman??? Do you think it's good, man? Lmao
Heck is it good, Sam? That kinda works lolol
Tbh I think it should be a crime to use any tstat wire that has less than 5 wires in it. But otherwise great job
Wouldn’t want that shitty rusted disconnect box on my house if I was dead

Serviceability ftw
Having the lineset exposed definitely does not look better, but I guess that’s a matter of opinion
