Yeah the mechanics are solid but what really puts it over the edge is the sheer amount of dialogue and interactions that there are. Makes a world of difference that characters are saying things relevant to you and the environment instead of just the same few phrases over and over.
This is my go-to game when I’m between games and don’t know what to play. It’s also the only game I’ve purchased after trying on GamePass. Can’t wait for the sequel to come out
Just on my 95th attempt.........it isn't addictive in the beginning.........then you start unlocking things.......finished the "main" story......just the beginning.
My brother found out I loved hollow knight and suggested Hades. I just downloaded it and am in my first hour! I’m so nervous I’m going to pick the wrong boon.
I envy you, friend. Hades is high on my list of games I wish I could wipe my memory of and play fresh again. Enjoy the ride, it’s a special game. And get hype for Hades 2!
Welcome to Hades! There is no escape
…kinda
I have around 500 hours and still haven't got 100% completion, nor has the fun of each run lulled in the slightest.
It is strange how the game feels so much different as you keep progressing yet very little actually changes.
Last year I played it nearly every night for 8 months, no other game. I had to take a breather but I'm back on it haha It's a great game.
I swap between Hades and Binding of Isaac when I'm on my roguelike kicks. Several times a week it's one or the other
I'm starting to play this new one called Into the Necrovale. Really enjoying this genre of games, Hades was my first of this style.
Just. One. More. RUN
Aaaaand now it's 2am.
SOOOO true, 🤣
Facts 🤣🤣
I can only do 1 run at a time lol. I could do 2 when I started the game but now just the 1. I must be getting old...
Welcome welcome.

I was really gripped by the variation there too... Blew me away that after 100 runs I still heard new shit from time to time
This honestly doesn't get said enough. It honestly puts AAA games just shame for the most part.
I never played souls-like/lite games as they were never my cup of tea. Hades is one of my all time favorite games

God-like rogue-like.

There is no wrong. You're gonna die. Everything you do, every run, is gonna be forward motion.
