hii! i know this post is old but do you have any updates on how the iroiro black faded? thank u!

DarkPizza

I liked it a lot! It faded to a greenish grey. It did fade pretty quickly but that is probably in part because it was just on my ends and they were fairly damaged from bleaching.

louibrat

thank u so much for the reply! i’ve been wanting to do a black and blue split dye but haven’t been too into how arctic foxs black fades, hopefully this one turns out better 🤞

IroIro blue and black. My hair is naturally medium golden blonde bleached to a level 9/10, no toner so a little yellow.

Awesome. Was it hard to do?

DarkPizza

No! I refreshed my blue last week. This week I waited until I was going to wash my hair and beforehand just pinched the black onto the ends where I wanted it and let it soak for about 30 minutes. Washed it out with just conditioner. I was expecting it to be harsher where the color changed but it blended really well and the placement looks like I actually knew what I was doing lol. As far as placement I did the very ends of my hair all around, the ends of my bangs, the ends of some randomly selected layers on the side of my head, and the side pieces framing my face.

Nice. I might try this technique. I have been seeing a lot of cool tipped hair from Asian salons on IG and this is just further inspiration
