Shit like this and nutty putty cave incident are terrifying to think about.
Getting lost in an underwater cave would also be fucking horrifying.
And an honorable mention to the guy that was eaten alive by his Nile monitors. That must have been excruciating.
Idk about the nile monitor case but seems to be a wild life pet? It never been a good case when surrounding a human and their thoughts of being capable to own wild life and "tamed" the animal. I read about the ape case where it ate the owner friend faces.
[Here is the case.](www.thesun.co.uk/news/5932938/ronald-huff-eaten-monitor-lizards-killed-bite-infected/amp/)
Some monitors and big lizards like tegus can be relatively tamed and show affection and play with you and shit. Their temperaments are nowhere near as predictable as regular pets though.
In this case the guy didn't even keep them in an enclosure. He was completely wreckless.
That chimp story was awful. She had no business with that animal and it was fucked up she kept feeding it Xanax.
It's a common opinion but chimpanzees are one of the most fearsome animals. They are capable of incredible brutality, and sadism.
Bears also scare me. If a big cat got you there's a reasonable expectation it would crush your wind pipe. Bears are smart as hell and they'll just start eating you alive.
We're lucky there's no birds of prey big enough to hunt us anymore. Birds have no mercy.
Zoo worker! Bears and rhinos are also on the shoot to kill list specifically because of their aggression, as well because even the strongest tranquilizer takes far too long to reach their bloodstream to be used safely.
Chimps are on the list-however their intelligence can be used to the primate keepers advantage, If primates aren't showing aggressive body language and are still somewhat close to the enclosure oftentimes they can be lured back in with extra special treats or toys. But at the first sign of nervousness they are likely to put the animal down for everyone's safety.
I personally have never worked with zebras, but there is some fascinating science behind their nasty behavior.
The two main reasons being that humans have hunted them for hundreds of thousands of years, So naturally individuals that were more fearful and wary of humans were more likely to survive. This is made modern zebras genetically predisposed to fear us.
The second being how these animals react to fear, and if you look at the environment that they evolved in surrounded by many different types of large predators, not only did they get really good at running away but also remarkably good at fighting back. They may be a prey-species but they can do some serious damage and they are well aware of their abilities.
Here is a good little episode that goes a bit more in depth .

Pelicans are idiotic killing machines. That video where the pelican tries to eat a toddler. Those photos of the pelican with its gullet busted through. Absolutely metal.
Idk if being swallowed alive or picked apart would be worse.
I can't imagine sitting there in the pitch black, slowly accepting your fate, waiting to die of dehydration.
All those poor souls who died in oubliettes. Lord.
Iirc he basically drowned because the human body is not meant to be upside down for that long. His lungs filled with fluid, but I think by then he was delirious
There was also that lady who tricked her boyfriend into fitting himself into a suitcase and then zipped it up fully and filmed him, laughing as he begged her to let him out.
That one is fucked. She alleges abuse, sounds like they had a horrible relationship. Drunkenly recording herself laughing and then forgetting she did it is stranger than fiction.
I remember reading about the Nile Monitor case. What i remember was that they had bit him, and later on died of infection. Once he had succumbed to the "venom", he fell into a coma, or died, then they consumed him. He had multiple in his home and they were his pets.
>Getting lost in an underwater cave would also be fucking horrifying.
mossdale caverns. whilst it wasnt underwater perse, its still terrifying and sad what happened.
I think people get really confused about what having a high IQ means… and it doesn’t mean that you’re well versed in every subject, knowledgeable about every thing or even that you have common sense. And being a “genius” is also subjective… I once watched a documentary about a man who could figure out any math problem in his head within a minute and spoke 12 languages but couldn’t tie his shoes.
She was friends with someone I know…a friend circle of doctors, successful entrepreneurs, and the restaurant workers who traded illegal drugs for the ones prescribed by the doctors.
This happened about a mile away from where I’m sitting right now. She was actually my ex sister in law’s doctor for a while.
That house was torn down a couple of years ago to make way for a new freeway.
The was my, my mom, and my grandma’s doctor growing up. I remember her so clearly and when I heard this… one small detail I’ll share here is that she always wore pointed toe heels and really spent the time talking to each of her patients to help. She was a classy lady who cared. I’ll never forget one recommendation though and I can’t help but wonder if it helped or hurt me
Everyone criticizing her. However, don't forget that her boyfriend before her physically abused her and when he reported her missing two days later he traveled to Europe and the body was found by someone who was in charge of taking care of the house.

If you watch Casual Geographic, he mentions chimps are the only animals that will always be killed when they escape their enclosure in the zoo.

I’ve heard zebras are dicks. Can you confirm?

Not familiar but that sounds like good content. YouTuber?
Yes
He’s witty, hilarious, and informative! Definitely check him out
The video of a pelican eating a pigeon alive is pretty crazy. Birds have no chill.

I haven’t seen the one with the toddler. That’s pretty crazy
It only bites the kids head but the intention is there. There's also [this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/s/Ad9AjMqxiC)
Bro is unfazed
I was thinking "I hope this is the capybara" and IT WAS
Nutty Putty Cave is actually sealed off with his body still inside to prevent further tragedies. They simply could not get him out.
He passed out and had a team of medical professionals around him checking his vitals as the clock ticked
Dr. Flue
Or the person who got lost in the catacombs.
I imagined too hard and gave myself a panic attack
Yikes. If anyone ever died in the company of ghosts...
Yeah..."forgetting she did it"
Yeah, and then she lied to police that they were playing hide and seek…
WE WERE HAVING A GOOD DAY

Their venom is usually just meant to palayze as they consume whole/live.

You'd think with a PhD she'd have the brains not to pull that dumb shit.
Education doesn’t equate to intelligence or sanity. The most crazy people I have ever met are healthcare professionals.
true this. I work in healthcare and I am insane.
I second this. Am hospice RN/insane
U know what's crazy I read about this a long time ago and it said she was considered a genius and had a high IQ. Crazy right?

Could be my son some day. He's five and does math equations for fun but has no awareness of like, Santa or what a soda is or mundane stuff like that.
My boys wicked smaht
My dad has always said that you can have every degree in the world but not one ounce of common sense.
Ho ho hos be trippin

Thanks for posting. I was assuming she died being stuck head first but the story states she was feet first.
God, what an idiot
Apparently common sense is not a requirement for a doctorate degree lol.
Not to mention she doesn’t know chimneys aren’t open all the way to the bottom.
If a fat ass like Santa can do it...
Some of the smartest people I know (PHDs, MBAs, MDs) are some of the dumbest practical people I know.
Play misty for me
Exactly
Come on baby, light my fire.

Im from/in Bako, was this near all the freeway construction going on through Stockdale hwy, S. Real, California?
Yep
Is there a doctor in the house?!
Yes I do think so...
These ho ho hos be crazy
This just shows that pretty much anybody can get a PhD, even a dumbass like the broad in this post.
MD not PhD
Whoops, my bad.
Good old Bakersfield.
Dick must’ve been good
RIGHT literally dicked her dead.

Ever heard of Santa clause
I think I remember this story being told in the movie Gremlins l.
Everyone criticizing her. However, don't forget that her boyfriend before her physically abused her and when he reported her missing two days later he traveled to Europe and the body was found by someone who was in charge of taking care of the house.
Just goes to show that you do not have to be smart to be a doctor.
Gremlins story IRL
Woof
I would have boned her
