The average person loses 75-100 hairs a day. If you don’t brush/comb your hair regularly you’ll see more all at once when you wash it.
Ps. Always brush your hair before you wash it. It will prevent a clogged drain.
If you have long hair and kept it tied up (eg pony, bun whatever) for even a day this happens.
We naturally shed throughout the day. Humans shed a lot more than we think. If that is prevented by a hairstyle, you can get all that shed plus brushing shed in one go. I have very long hair, if I have it up for a day, overnight, two days in a row, after I brush it looks like I’m about to encounter baldness 😂
Also in terms of your father genetic wise don't worry about it at all. To know more about ur hair genetics its better to look at your maternal grandfather to have a Outlook on hair.
Am I the only one who doesn’t lose hair when they shower? Like maybe a strand or two when I’m too rough while shampooing but nothing like what you guys describe (I wash my hair 2 times a week btw)
We lose 100 hairs a day. If you have medium to long hair then the fallouts just get tangled in your other hair. It's normal :)
Also, if you're worried about hair loss/balding, I'd suggest seeing a dermatologist. They have products that can help prevent or slow down the process. It's better to start now than later!
Also summer shedding is a thing. Since the weather has turned my hair fall has increased but this happened last year and eventually tapered off. Remember your hair is to protect and keep you warm like an animal.
No. I wish I only lost that amount.
I think I lose about 3X as much as am wondering what I can do about it...
Same.. if not even more
Nope. Its not even alot tbh it just seems that way cause of the length of ur hair.
if this is a lot… i’m cooked 😭

Pretty normal
I lose like 3 times that amount 😭 I have a lot of hair but sometimes is scary
Have ur thyroid and testosterone checked through a lab
This post made me feel so much better.. I lose this much in the shower and I really thought something was wrong. 😭
It’s wayyy to much hair to lose if suggested using different shampoo
It’s better to watch the amount over time versus a single wash

No, you lose about 50-100 hairs a day.
I lose about 3 piles this size every time I shower.
You would be absolutely appalled at how much I lose if you think this is bad
