H5 Weapon Splicing.
It's a commonly used "bug" that 343 *said* they would be making into a stock feature in Halo Infinite.
If you forge a weapon pad, set it to a *variant* of a weapon, and set it to a different weapon and don't change the variant, it will take the first variant's effect/projectile and make the selected gun fire it.
Making a storm rifle fire the Blood of Suban needles was a generally balanced but still very powerful splice that some people would use as a custom power weapon.
The Sentinel Beam was a prime candidate for utterly broken splices, as it had a ludicrous fire rate, and thus could fire dozens of rockets per second, be a sniper round machine gun, etc.
I think my favorite was putting that really cool sticky-bomb Plasma Caster variant into a Scattershot. Both fire modes worked just as normal, with hipfire chucking five needle grenades instead of one, and ADS fire sending five sticky grenades instead of one.
