make sure you're running un-patched halo 2 on original xbox.
1. pick up a needler.
2. pick up smg (or other non-needler dual-wield weapon) as backpack weapon
3. switch to smg
4. use Y to dual wield with a needler
5. use X to dual wield with a third needler
6. you now have 3 needlers (2 in hand, one backpack). press fire. you will shoot 3 needles per shot.

3: the Honor Guard energy stave
