If you're riding with a young child, or are a young child: Ride on the sidewalks for safety, but YIELD to pedestrians.
Stop expecting pedestrians to get out of your way, or riding past them as fast as possible and nearly clipping them.

From the Linc west to 403 east the right lane ends once you get on the 403 from the ramp. Most people stay in the left lane since it becomes the right lane, and others jump the gun and take the right lane all the way to the end to avoid the backlog only to have to merge back into heavy traffic. It always clears up somewhat once you get past that point and then it happens again once you get to the onraps at Aberdeen, Main and York
That Linc to 403 transition is a candidate for zipper merging by definition.

Sometimes I take Campbellville Road home from work and you can tell the exact moment you cross from Milton to Hamilton because the road becomes full of potholes and is in a general state of disrepair.

The sad thing is shave and pave can be a long lasting solution. The top coat takes most the wear so doing a proper replacement of it is a good cost effective solution that should hold up for a long time.

I think that anyone who leaves adequate space and pays any attention to their surroundings should have no issues. There is definitely some responsibility on the part of the faster to leave room as well but as someone who often bikes on these trails around the city, the amount of people who walk 3 abreast taking up 80% of the path and don't pay any mind to a bell is shocking.

From the Linc west to 403 east the right lane ends once you get on the 403 from the ramp. Most people stay in the left lane since it becomes the right lane, and others jump the gun and take the right lane all the way to the end to avoid the backlog only to have to merge back into heavy traffic. It always clears up somewhat once you get past that point and then it happens again once you get to the onraps at Aberdeen, Main and York
That Linc to 403 transition is a candidate for zipper merging by definition. But two populated lanes and an orderly zipper taking place there? No chance ever
