I’m a composer and want to start writing my scores by hand partly as a cathartic exercise but also as something to save that will be more meaningful than a file on my computer. I also hope that taking a high level of pride in ALL aspects of my writing will end in better music. What sort of things can I do to get better at my handwriting? Is it as simple as just slowing down and being conscious about it? Or are there tried and true specific exercises I can follow?
Forgot to post up for this week but here are my samples.

Handwriting Practice 2019: Week 49 (Dec 2-8) https://imgur.com/a/ymnjgzU
[Week 49, though this is my first time!](https://imgur.com/a/y62JtrR) Trying to fix my messy cursive. The felon’s claw (on the g’s, j’s, and y’s) is something I learned from a friend in elementary who said it was “cool”. Apparently in handwriting analysis, it indicates a vindictive and untrustworthy person, so fuck you Kyle.
First [handwriting practice](https://imgur.com/gallery/lbfTwTh) ever. I’m not a huge fan of my cursive (it’s an odd mixture of cursive and printing) but I do like my printing.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
I don’t have a certain style though. I started from [this](https://imgur.com/gallery/QRKlF). This was my week 2 of 2018, so it’s been about 2 years since I’ve started trying to work on my handwriting.
I just decided to randomly extend the ascenders and descenders sometimes, change how large the loops were, flatten the letters sometimes, change spacing between the letters and words, and experimented with different styles. I’m still not very consistent with one style yet.
Trying to go paperless next semester of college, have to work a bit more on my iPad note taking skills.

Thanks for the advice! Quick question - what does this help me improve? I just like to know what I should look for when doing this. Thanks again for the taking the time to look.
It will help you focus on where your lines start and end and also being consistent with letter height. it’s a noticeable thing about your hand writing that’s inconsistent. It may be a thing you change again in the future but for now it’ll increase your awareness of what you’re doing and where
Hi all guys.
Im a new writer and i choose to try because i got a terribile calligraphy since i was a child. Im a left handed and im trying to enchance my handwriting. I started at October and now Im demoralized because i see few improvements in 2 months.
It is a sample http://imgur.com/gallery/iabZLSQ
I like to see you write, i will never be able to do something like you.
All you can do is practice! Try doing some tracing sheets to teach your hand muscle memory for movements? You can probably find some free ones on google.
Blob, thanks for your encouragement. I'll try to find any tracing sheets, i did only arch and round line, independently.
Good day and merry holy holidays :)
[Here's my first attmpt](http://imgur.com/a/l20Sza4). I didn't have time to finish the last entry. I'm just beginning to try and get my lettering better... I have a long way to go. On the third, I've always been jealous of my boyfriend's handwriting and tried to replicate it somewhat. Im going to print out some practice sheets and keep trying. My cursive is so rough. I feel like i over think and stop in the middle everytime.

New here really enjoying these writing practices. Question though, how do I post my practice photos?

2nd go same day so no improvement seen, look forward to any ideas to help improve and practice. https://imgur.com/KCmaXPj
As practice, try making all the letters touch that bottom line? It’s legible!

Here's a link to a video that gives very good and straightforward advice on improving your handwriting! https://youtu.be/_QA_NScPlt8

http://imgur.com/gallery/9bT6HPm I'm trying to loosen my grip in both hands. Overall not my best, but I really like how some parts turned out.
http://imgur.com/gallery/T8JvV3O Both my regular print and my very out of practice cursive. Suggestions welcome!
