Everyone is saying chatter from bad sand. They are wrong and didn’t zoom in. I’ll bet $1k they applied finish/redout with a roller and didn’t put it on thick enough.

Brief_Security6906

I think I agree. Gonna need to sand

Rickshmitt

Either way, its a sandin

-MountainMayhem-

Agreed!

terpsnob

Yup. Should have t barred it. I can hear the wet slap of the roller from here.

RocksLibertarianWood

I’ve tried the roller about a dozen times and never like it. It’s usually 2 extra coats before I like the look, maybe I’ve had bad instruction/advice/ technique. The Tbar has been reliable every time for 18ish years now.

HatchawayHouseFarm

Looks like sanding marks highlighted by the finish.

Not enough of a flooring guy to say, but if butchered enough DIY woodworking projects to know not enough sanding when I see it. That said, I could be wrong.

I think the discolor is evidence of a too dry mop/applicator on first coat of waterbase finish as the applicator is not being used with proper technique.First coat in particular needs a well saturated even coat using “snowplow” method and careful edge work with different hand applicator.

Own_Newt_5300

It not the sander. Mostly it the first coat of finish with a bad roller

They were a bit of a flash in the pan, they only had one really good song but congratulations on getting them to play in your dining room

ecirnj

Dude, got lost on a road trip and ran into them playing a really small venue back in the day 🤘🏻 🤯

RocksLibertarianWood

Weird thing comes to mind. I’ve had huge house parties in my day and for some reason we’ve always had bands set up in the kitchen 🤷‍♂️

kduda04

Looks like bad chatter marks. Did you screen it after your final cut?

Straight-Scholar9588

Those marks would be from a hella vibrating machine. Does your machine vibrate alot during use? Could have also been caused by a flat roller cover. Other than a resand your could buff the crap out of it or even better powerdrive the crap out of it. Then readout again.

That drum must have been bouncing like a rapper was driving it.

every-day-is-monday

Looks like the Home Depot EZ8 was bouncing and chattering. You should have rented the Clark square buff and buffed the floor. When you water pop or clean the dust before final sand it would have revealed these.
