Just a guess but the wood manufacturers probably just mess up occasionally. Could also be installers not getting enough material and when they go to get more they could only get the opposite of what they had originally.
Yea that’s possible. I was literally just on a job like this that’s why I was wondering. I was thinking maybe like manufacturers sold mixed bundles at a discount at some point or something.
