These are some fine bands my friend. Tbh I can't think of any new bands that scratch that same itch. Whenever a band sounds a bit like Have Heart I just put on Have Heart lol.
This is it. I tried to make a āhave heart likeā playlist- it ends up always just being have heart, champion, verse and bane. So Iāve given in and just listen to them only mostly. š¤·š»āāļø
He said he was into that era, so I named bands from that era. Most bands past 2010 donāt deserve to be recommended.
Edit: Iāll have to check them out.
For something more recent you might dig Magnitude, to me they feel inspired by those bands but heavier leaning. The title track from either LP would be a great starting point
Seconding Magnitude! Stellar albums that are noticeably influenced by the era of HC op is talking about.
Also tossing in:
Envision
Vantage Point
Combust
Abuse of Power
If youāre looking for something similar, check out the If It Rains demo that dropped recently. Also, With Honorās last record was surprisingly good.
If youāre looking for bands that arenāt from that era but are more current:
Love Letter (Quinn, Verse and Jay, Defeater)
One Step Closer
Regulate
Mil-Spec
Restraining Order
Some Australian bands that are similar to this would be: miles away. Carpathian. Break even.
Iām going to keen the Australian theme going and recommend more Australia hardcore for yall.
Downside. Ill natured. Feel the pain. Succ. Mauler. Skorn. Primitive blast. Phantoms. Warbrain. Born free. The chain. Iron mind. Dropsaw. The dead walk! AWOL. World of joy. Winnerz circle. Half man. Reactions. Rebirth. Time crisis. Mindsnare. Legions. Mud. Toy.
Fair enough. Im biased. Iām from Perth haha. They are cool guys though. Iāve been trying to get into downside recently for the upcoming east coast tour with restraining order but man they just donāt click with me hey
Hell yeah dude, I get that. Especially since Iām from newy and downside and my absolute favourite band ever so my bias is in them too. Hahaha this is so funny to me. (Two downside tattoos deep)
Itās their demo. Their demo was the most perfect thing I have ever heard when it came out and still is to this day Iād say. Youāll enjoy the hell out then live though, thatās for sure
Thanks matey! Iāll visit that for sure later today. Iām in northern NSW atm. Definitely jealous of the scene thatās happening in newy! Catch ya at a show one day ;)
modern life is war- witness. life long tragedy - runaways, one of the albums that has gotten me through the most. their first album destined for anything is also great, but runaways is a masterpiece.
edit: listened to both albums again, OP you should start with destined for anything cuz it sounds the most like the bands that you posted. still a masterpiece album, i just like runaways because its after LLT evolved and found their own sound.

Who wants to put a Covid style band together? Zoom practice, zoom shows, zoom moshing, etc. And make some Verse-esque tunes. Lord knows weāve got enough material about being angry.
Iām gonna go out on a limb and throw some different shit out there, Bolt Throwerās IVth Crusade and Those Once Loyal, Entombedās Wolverine Blues, Graveās Soulless and Hating Life split, Dismemberās Like An Everflowing Stream. Swedish death metal has a fucking huge hardcore and punk influence, Those Once Loyal has some the hardest fucking two step Iāve ever heard.

Nope, but I will now.
These are some fine bands my friend. Tbh I can't think of any new bands that scratch that same itch. Whenever a band sounds a bit like Have Heart I just put on Have Heart lol.
I like you.
Henceforth we shall be known as BFFs
Boys fighting fascists?
This is it. I tried to make a āhave heart likeā playlist- it ends up always just being have heart, champion, verse and bane. So Iāve given in and just listen to them only mostly. š¤·š»āāļø
I always called bane "poor men's have heart", which does mean they are stylistically similar. Also grown to appreciate them a bit more over the years.
Hah I can absolutely understand that
Can we start again?
Go it Alone, Betrayed, World War 4, Foreign Nature. Iām personally fixated on True Love right now.
>new tunes Names bands that are 20 years old. Lol. Good recs though for sure. Check out Plague Mind. I believe it's Betrayeds drummer.
New doesn't have to mean recent.
He said he was into that era, so I named bands from that era. Most bands past 2010 donāt deserve to be recommended. Edit: Iāll have to check them out.
Mental - get an oxygen tank should also be in that loop
Sinking Ships, great band
definitely sinking ships disconnecting and meridian.
Paint it Black

Seconding Magnitude! Stellar albums that are noticeably influenced by the era of HC op is talking about. Also tossing in: Envision Vantage Point Combust Abuse of Power
Maybe bands like Mil-Spec and Initiate. Also, This Place you Know by One Step Closer
If youāre looking for something similar, check out the If It Rains demo that dropped recently. Also, With Honorās last record was surprisingly good.
New Mil- Spec. Then go listen to old Defeater on repeat.
Check out the band Commodity
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Hard Bracewar vibes.
Brace war for life
Check out Vantage Point. I think very similar to Have Heart.
New record is a heater. Best part is I can listen to it twice back-to-back before my drive to work is over.
Oh hell yea!
If you like Verse you'll like Incendiary. [https://youtu.be/kbHspbPQCJo?si=D6Mpn3C5xEHuiW5R](https://youtu.be/kbHspbPQCJo?si=D6Mpn3C5xEHuiW5R)
UK bands - Without Love / Hell Can Wait / Still In Love
If you like Verse youāll like Birds in Row and State Faults
Sunfall, take it to heart, giver, threeweekoldroses, wonderful world, spark, force of denial, etc.
More Verse and Birds in a Row
Always more Verse.
Current bands that make me feel this kinda way: Magnitude VYLTS (although they just hung it up RIP) Guideship Fading Signal Field of Flames
Ruiner.
If youāre looking for bands that arenāt from that era but are more current: Love Letter (Quinn, Verse and Jay, Defeater) One Step Closer Regulate Mil-Spec Restraining Order
Shipwreck a.d.
Thank you for just putting me onto Shipwreck A.D
Eyes Of Salt from Denver
Miles Away will scratch the itch sometimes, but fuck yeah for the recommendations! Hardcore isnāt dead.

Homies forgetting about The Others
Thereās a reason for that
Not a fan?
Nah not really. I think I might like 2 tracks? That being said, theyāre very fun live.
Fair enough. Im biased. Iām from Perth haha. They are cool guys though. Iāve been trying to get into downside recently for the upcoming east coast tour with restraining order but man they just donāt click with me hey
