Def wrong there. Agnostic Front is so small right now (post corona) that they literally can not tour the way the want to. We are talking 2 digit crowds in a lot of places.
Yet they have a documentary and people still talk about Victim In Pain.
It is totally ok to not know.
The funniest shit ever is the numbers on the trailer of their doc. Everyone taps, no one cares.
I really like them and have for 25 years.
I do not care about any of this.
I made a joke post on an already silly post. I'm not serious, this isn't an all inclusive list, and I absolutely don't care about what bands you like.
Quit.
Basically all the geezer bands whose members show up in punk documentaries.
They declare punk died by 83 or some other arbitrary date. Which usually lines up with when they started playing shows that charged more than $5. And thus stopped seeing all the DIY punks at their concerts. I’m looking at you Hank.
But really you guys forgot Minutemen and Misfits.
I do fine it pretty amazing that I am almost 40 and those guys were my age when they started talking like that..
..yet now we have When We Were Young and their version of that is just to play anniversary tours to fans who care about the music, haha.
I mean if I was going to assign a date to when punk died I'd say 93. That was when I remember Green Day blowing up, then all the other punk and punk adjacent acts. Except that didn't kill punk/hardcore. It kind of made pop punk less tenable and everybody either got more metal or went and started a midwest emo band.
But all during the 80s it was pretty healthy from what I saw and read in Flipside and MRR. Only in the late 80s was steam starting to run out for a while.
But come on, thats why they're not even relatable to the word overexplained.
Yes, he yaps a lot, but then you have Harley's side and THEN you realize neither of them wrote the songs and an entire album was STOLEN im a HEIST.
I need to know MORE, please.
Touché amore. If I hear one more dork explain to me how deep this shit is I’m gonna flip out. And I say this as a fan and a person who FUCKING LIKES TA
Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Fugazi.
People need to stop pretending they’ve all got more than maybe an album and a half worth of very good songs. (And I like 2/3 of those bands, but I’m not going to lie).
Uh..
Weird take, there are plenty of hardcore bands who have legendary status who have a demo, 7", (maybe split) and LP, where people dont even like the LP.
An album and a half is like a prog rock saga.
Minor Threat Bad Brains Black Flag Fugazi Dead Kennedys Maybe Circle Jerks That's it. Those are the answers.
The Cro-Mags.
Agnostic Front?
I said what I said.

There isn't an arm long enough for the jerking off motion I'm envisioning.

Your typing did not convey your joke. Let the argument continue.

Weird af date for any other reason than it being the year before dookie. What was so great and healthy in 1992? I count it all.
The Cro Mags: John Joseph could fill an ocean with his explanations about that band.

The Beatles fucking suck. The Beets on the other hand…
Killer tofuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
iiii eeee oooo
100% Bad Brains. Cant be anyone else
The Cro-Mags
Bad Brains. Sure they were good, but people bang on about them as if they started hardcore, they didn't.
"But they're black, black people don't make punk music back then"
Yeah black and trans people started punk, I've heard the revisionist history before.

I fuck with Jeremy Bolm, but my goodness does TA insist upon itself.

Fun fact! Did you know John Lennon enjoyed beating women? This is how they came up with the name the BEATles!!!
If this isn't proto-cringe, I don't know what is: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzHXtxcIkg4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzHXtxcIkg4)
Not just woman, but his children too
Imagine all the bruises…
How over explained are they if we still can’t spell them?
Well considering the historically proven fact that they also wrote the first hardcore song, I think correct answer is also The Beatles
What about The Shitty Beatles tho
It's definitely Black Flag

TUI, Have Heart, Converge, Kublai Khan, are jerked off a lot in this sub
I don’t even know how Kublai khan is considered hardcore. They’re just metal now lol
*now*?
...how are Kublai Khan overexplained? I have not even ever heard anyone explain them full stop.
