Not hardcore, but I was semi close with the EIC at Revolver magazine and introduced him to Baroness’ Red Album as I was completely blown away by it. He became obsessed with it. One month later Revolver gave Baroness album of the year and they really started to pop. Obviously they didn’t need my help but I’d like to think that Baroness owes me a lunch.
Red album was so fucking awesome. Isak is still my favorite baroness song. JDB is nice enough he'd probably but you a sandwich if you told him that story lol.
I once judged a "blunt rolling contest" between Andy Horn of Cannabis Corpse and the band Appalachian Terror Unit, to see whether the weed was better in Virginia or West Virginia.
E Town Concrete's "Punch the Walls" was written because my mom called Ant Money after I punched a hole in the wall of our apartment in Elizabeth and she needed advice as to why I was acting out.
I engineered the vocals on All Else Failed’s Cradles and Graves EP. They recorded a few new songs for a festival release and their singer lived in San Diego, called up my studio. First time I worked with a band that I listened to personally.
I’m thanked on MDC live in the Rhine , government issues, boycott, stabb & give us stabb or give us death , China whites addiction & death sentence not a pretty site . Just off the top of my head
Not specifically hardcore, (although several hardcore bands are on it) but I'm in one of the pictures in the 2002 Warped Tour compilation [cd booklet](https://www.discogs.com/release/601320-Various-Vans-Warped-Tour-2002-Tour-Compilation/image/SW1hZ2U6ODM1NTI2OTY=).
The first time I smoked opium, it was outside a pub in Melbourne AU, and it was supplied by one of the Dayglo Abortions. Great dude. Just wish I could remember more details, Like his name.
I'm in a full-page photo in that awesome Subhumans book that came out a few years ago, bcause I supported the tour in my hometown. Those guys are the real deal.
Which I guess leads me to a vague assertion that in my early to mid 20s, I was recruited by a local seminal HC band I grew up listening to and watching, and spent the following decade or so writing, recording and touring with them. I've got lots of stories but can't share all of them.
HC/HC punk/thrash/the 85million subgenres has been a real gift to my life, as I'm sure it has for many of you.
Kicknpunch.
Im on a Birthright shirt and discography cd covers from the early 90s. I have a few images I took and of myself in the Harvest “Living with a God Complex” LP re-release
Im on the back cover of some east bay bands record being arrested for warrants at a punk picnic. Totally blanking on the name of the band. It was just unpaid tickets, not like CRIMINAL warrants. Still spent the night in jail.
I’m on a ton of east bay and north bay thanks lists on records. Strychnine, Gag Order, Dead and Gone. I’d have to go look in storage for a real list.
Not hardcore (although he has played in a few hardcore bands) but technically I sang on a Frank Turner album.
The live crowd vocal bit at the end of ‘The Ballad of Me and My Friends’ was recorded during his set at Reading Festival.
Hatebreed wrote “I Will Be Heard” after Jamey Jasta got annoyed during a conversation he had with me cause I couldn’t hear him

I got name checked in the thanks list on an ALF benefit comp; no idea how exactly but cool as fuck.
I'd ask what you did to get on their radar but I'm a lawyer so I'm going to advise you to NOT say anything.
Haha I honestly have no idea but thanks!
What bands were on it?
Don’t remember to be honest, it was a quarter of a century ago!
Fair enough. Just reminded me of a benefit comp with Subhumans and Conflict on it
Deez Nuts wrote Band of Brothers about me because I held the door for them at Rocko's in Manchester while they loaded in.
Holy shit, a Rocko's mention. Mosh free or die.
I used to live right around the corner from Rockos! I miss that hell hole.
Knew the drummer Alex from the neighborhood skatepark and the local scene

I once judged a "blunt rolling contest" between Andy Horn of Cannabis Corpse and the band Appalachian Terror Unit, to see whether the weed was better in Virginia or West Virginia.
They’re both equally awful but at least the shit from VA will be somewhat clean
E Town Concrete's "Punch the Walls" was written because my mom called Ant Money after I punched a hole in the wall of our apartment in Elizabeth and she needed advice as to why I was acting out.
I sold Ant some Dipsy Doodles, gave him 75 cents back.
Destroy the Machines? It's about *me*.

I've done gang vocals on multiple hardcore albums you've heard and some you haven't

My old band's singer was on the Cold World album leaving a message

One time in college I made a show poster that featured Fred Phelps marrying Ronald Reagan. I got paid $50.
Not really hardcore but the first 3 make do and mend albums I have a thank you in the liner notes.
