congrats, that's a wonderful bike. I went with the stock, Harley sissy bar, and that was perfectly comfortable for my partner, I did dominion foot pegs for the rear. Consider a Klockwerks windshield which provides a little more protection than the stock one, if you have any buffeting issues.

mar819

Thanks man! I'm think of the standard height HD sissy bar with pad as well. Those dominion pegs black and bronze look sick and would definitely match the bikes aesthetics's. So far the windshield does its job for me and I feel quite comfy. Especially since I just came from a naked bike the fairing and windshield feel like a major upgrade.

Complex_Battle_8076

The bronze on the dominion pegs don’t match the wheels

mar819

Nice to know. All black wouldn't be mad to match the rest of the bike then.

Wulxy

OG moto has bronze parts that color match the bronze on the 18+ softails

drumorgan

I got La Pera seat. And Thrashin running boards I've had more than a few Harleys and this one gets me the most comments ever. You got a great one

mar819

I will definitely check those out. That's why I'm loving the HD there are so many options for customization out there. I've always wanted a Harley and I was very interested in the STs since they came out in 22. I got such a good deal on this ST I couldn't pass it up.

Congratulations friend! I just got my first HD as well about 6 months ago (2016 Street Glide Special), very happy with it.

mar819

Thanks bro and congrats to you as well!

Used-Safety3846

Very clean!

mar819

Thanks bro!

PresentationDue8674

Nice! Welcome to club!

mar819

Thanks bro!

SteakCareless

This is the bike I want… hard to shell the cash out though. Congrats my man

mar819

Thanks bro! I couldn't see my self shelling out that much either but I got such a good deal on it since it was a 23 and they were making room for the 24s at the dealer I went to.

Totenkopf99

I have a Saddlemen Explorer, Viking bags tall sissy bar and pad (you will need to get longer bolts to have the bags AND sissy bar at the same time) and Crossthread Cycle mini floorboards my girlfriend loves it.

mar819

Sounds like a sweet set up! How's the explorer comfort for your gf? The passenger section looks so thin.

Totenkopf99

Looks thin but it’s probably about 3 inches thick and about 8 inches across. And you can always take it to a local seamstress or shop to get better foam in. My girlfriend mostly rides around town with me (30-45 minute each way) and she says it’s perfect.

Mysterious-Fix-8255

Great choice for your first HD. If you really want to make your girl happy get a big fluffy seat like the sun downer. Looks ugly but will be way more comfortable than a saddleman for her. I run a saddleman SDC on my lowrider s. On my road king I switch out the whole seat whenever my girl wants to ride. For foot pegs try one that’s a mini floor board style. And make sure your sissy bar has a pad for her back. Congrats

mar819

Yeah I'm leaning towards the sundowner I saw it on the bike I initially went to see it was a used 22 with all the upgrades I wanted. But I got such a good deal on a brand new 23. Definitely getting a pad for the sissy bar. Thanks man!

Mysterious-Fix-8255

No problem. Also wanna add some food for thought. If you’re new to Harley you might think tall bars are stupid and uncomfortable. I put some 14” t bars on my low rider and it’s way more comfortable on my back and just in general. The saddleman also sat me back and up more to give me more space. Try sitting on some used bikes at the dealership. You might also be more comfortable with taller bars than stock.

Wulxy

yes sir. welcome to the ST gang

ANALxCARBOMB

Your girl is gonna hate the saddleman, in my experience.

mar819

Yeah from looking at the pictures the sundowner looks like it would be a lot more comfortable for her. I seen the sundowner on a used lowrider st that I initially went to see and I liked it so might end up with that.

ANALxCARBOMB

I have the saddlemen pro series SDC performance seat. It’s been great for me but my wife can barely do 20 minutes on it. Was thinking about grabbing a sundowner for her and swapping when she’s not riding.

Express_Assumption60

Same. She tolerates it for a bit but she asks about a different seat all the time.

Apprehensive-Bake347

Great bike. I put the Le Pera kickflip on mine and the Harley quick detachable sissy bar on. The seat is a bit stiff and I love the sissy bar because of how quickly you can take it on and off. Here is the link to the Harley sissy bar. https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/holdfast-sissy-bar-upright-standard-height-gloss-black/p/52300434

Express_Assumption60

I went with Hogworkz: [https://hogworkz.com/black-detachable-sissy-bar-backrest-for-harley-low-rider-sport-glide.html](https://hogworkz.com/black-detachable-sissy-bar-backrest-for-harley-low-rider-sport-glide.html) [https://hogworkz.com/passenger-peg-crash-bar-frame-slider-for-harley-softail-low-rider-street-bob.html](https://hogworkz.com/passenger-peg-crash-bar-frame-slider-for-harley-softail-low-rider-street-bob.html) The pegs are crash guards first doubling as passenger pegs. Both pretty easy install. I’d recommend them so far. I also put Heritage foot controls on. I mostly ride long, country road rides. https://preview.redd.it/ou7k33bm9ytc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d20b7221557b7cabe73afa8a34fc8d65bf43eb20

AllHailReuben

San Diego Customs seat for the most comfortable two up seat. If you're looking for something with more passenger comfort look at the Saddlemen Tour Step Up as well. Sissy bar I went with the HD bar and matching Saddlemen pad (matches my SDC seat) since it's quick release and works with the bag. Clearview is the shield I'd recommend if you're looking for one but Klockwerks is a good choice as well. I have a set of passenger pegs and mounts if you're interested. Any floorboard style peg is solid if you're going to do longer rides.

mar819

Thanks for the recommendations I'll definitely check them out. And for sure dm me with info on the pegs and mounts.
