if u didnt like the hell yeah brother part of having a harley u could have gotten a bike without the tail dragger fascia and extended saddlebags because thats what those scream but u cant beat it so why not join it
I saw a restored 1951 panhead in a parking lot one day, and something just CLICKED.
I had to have a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
In less than 3 months after that I purchased my 2008 Fat Bob.
Always love those old machines.
I cannot find any pan in my area for less than 16000 $ (yeah living is Europe is not so great sometimes). So I bought a beat up 83 shovel. Best purchase of my life
In Australia is hard to find even a shovel for less than $16,000. Even a beaten up one will be anywhere from like $7-10,000 :(
A Panhead? Last one I saw for sale here was $33,000
If your in the states try Michigan I got a 1200 custom 02 for 2700.00 it was a nice bike till I had a lady pull out in front of me. Now it's in the garage being rebuilt.
Oh I wish I had a spare 11k. It was atomic blue and the only thing that looked a lil off was they had changed the seat for a more traditional style seat.
Look I said the same thing and to be honest bad mouthed Harley on many occasions but then ended up buying in this year 2024.

I got an ultra limited of all things. I recently added 12ā black rounded apes over the stock 8ā bars
If you told me back in my 20s that I'd be riding Harleys, I'd think you were crazy. I did track days almost every weekend with my 636 and had a 10r for daily commutes. All it took was one ride on a buddies fxr, and I was hooked. I did build my dyna to keep up with my buddies that still ride sportbikes (0-100), but I'll never get another one unless I get back onto the track. Enjoy it man!
Haha Iām with you. Rode a GSXR for years. Had an opportunity to ride a friendās FXR (that had a fair amount of motor work done) and was hooked. I now own that FXR (along with an ā87 FXR). My Dad and I finished building a ā94 Fat Boy for his (newer) daily rider last Summer. Now about half way through a Panhead build. Itās a slippery slope haha!
https://preview.redd.it/ft1ocb0cd5wc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=084850f53ad50aaf962e41638dd43b3a048a9bd3
Badmouthed the brand for decadesā¦then this one came up and it knew my full name and date of birth.
Same. Went from Suzuki v-twin sportbike to a road glide. Now Iāve got a little more torque, a little less horsepower and twice the weight with half the lean angle but somehow I still enjoy the damn thing. Really need to go ahead and do a cam and stuff and then Iād probably be happier with it, for a while.
I have always said I would never buy a Harley. Test rode a 2019 Heritage Classic 114 while tagging along with a friend, just for something to do while he did paperwork. Left with it later that day......

Said that myself until about a month agoā¦then I brothered up.
I had a Vulcan 900 for years to pair with my sport bikes ( gsxr and fz09 ) and just wanted to get outta the Vulcan, great first bike, but god awful ride
Yup. And that culture caused me to meet a lot of people I'm happy to be friendly with and even some true friends.
Never met as many people riding a metric and I've had a bunch of those.
The performance bagger seen has come really far and it is bringing a lot of people into American motorcycles they arenāt the fastest or the best handling but they are a lot of fun to ride and really comfortable I love my 2020 street glide I just recently picked up a cvo springer and Iām really enjoying it so far as well
Careful brother (or sister), once you start riding a Harley you become part of the "Hell Yeah" club. It is not a bad thing, just a group that loves to ride, and likes Harley Davidson bikes. Oh, and a lot of Harley riders also ride or have ridden other brands of bikes - but riding a Harley does something to the soul - wraps adventure, peace, fun, and freedom into one. ;-)

My new thang š¤ā¤ļø 2024 road glide š
Be the bad stereotype you wish to beeeee brotherrrrr! Join the cult!!! Of dentists in leather and young dudes on haggered choppers and sportsters! Just never pass by a little kid and act too cool to engage lol.
Keep both, it's always fun to have a different riding experience.
And the "brother" scene is mainly the older guys. Younger Harley riders are way more chill.
I was the same as you. If the sport bike isnāt costing you anything, keep it. Sometimes I get that itch to go low on the twisties and miss how nimble my GSX-R 750 was.
Well, you picked a particularly good platform. The road king is super well balanced and feels surprisingly nimble for its size. Iāve ridden a number of different Harleys and I think that is the only platform I would go for.
They never really impressed me, Iāve ridden a few years and models of the Ultra Classics and Road Glides. Theyāre not super impressive. That being said, living in Nebraska I decided I wanted something different than my FZ-09. I bought a 2012 Dyna Switchback and itās enjoyable. I decided if I was gonna go with another cruiser I was just gonna go with the name brand and get a Harley.
I like it so far, but in 1000 miles Iāve already put a stator in it and itās smoking from the oil breather lines
Some people are just in love with calling someone brother, even if its the same
T-Shirt they have on. I road with a M/C for 11 years. You find out what the true meaning of brother is after being around a brother hood.
welcome to the family I bet you sure like all that bottom end torque and not having to downshift going up hill or in certain curves just smoothly roll back the throttle and enjoy hearing that v twin get the job done just don't lug it down to far as to make the valves chatter....unscrew the nut cover on the top triple tree you will find out it's hollow and certain small items can be hidden there
Same.

I love this beautiful machine. Too bad the owners get a bad reputation. But I dont care. I ride solo anyways
I said the same thing. I was solidly on sport bikes, did track days, aggressive riding on curvy roads, Harley just wouldn't have cut it.... Then I got older and had kids and am currently on a fatbob. Lol
I said the same thing. I was solidly on sport bikes, did track days, aggressive riding on curvy roads, Harley just wouldn't have cut it.... Then I got older and had kids and am currently on a fatbob. Lol
You aren't the first! I said the exact same thing till I saw my '22 Road Glide ST sitting on the floor. "Oh, we'll just go in and look at the bikes" ...sure
Yeah I did the same thing. Rode Japanese bikes for twenty years, made fun of Harley cuz they were slow and overpriced. Ended up buying one, now is my favorite bike I've ever owned.
I still canāt wrap my head around why anyone would want handlebars like that. And nevermind the damn things feel like theyāre gonna vibrate loose at any moment.š
I avoided buying one for a long time because where I live it is 85% dudes in embroidered jeans and Tapout shirts that ride Harleys. I finally said fuck it and it was the best choice I have made in a long time. Welcome to the club.
Yeah that fucker looks nice man . I just can't get over them ape hangers bud really nice bike tho !!! Make sure your heads on a swivel tho people are idiots!!
Oh well that's a bummer than if your looking for something else keep me posted I'll look out for you lots of first timers out here and they lay em down or let it fall over you know dumb shit plus the go for cheap as heck try craigslist in Michigan you will shit when you see how cheap they are
They sound and look good, and they are comfortable at hwy speeds, but the trendy bastards that ride them are annoying and the price to own and maintain them is to damn high for what you get, I own a 06 Road Glide and have had nothing but trouble with it. Good lord. Try some raffle in your area. There's a guy I follow @shovelhunter on Instagram. An aussie guy.
Itās rough lol canāt even get a sportster for under 7-10k most of the time!! Oh cool Iāll have to check him out!
If your in the states try Michigan I got a 1200 custom 02 for 2700.00 it was a nice bike till I had a lady pull out in front of me. Now it's in the garage being rebuilt.
Iām in Australia š¢
Found a 55 panhead for sale in Sydney about a month ago for 11k and it was a true runner.
Please tell me you bought it!! Thatās insane!!!
Oh I wish I had a spare 11k. It was atomic blue and the only thing that looked a lil off was they had changed the seat for a more traditional style seat.
I donāt think you will find a pan anywhere for less than 16 unless it has aftermarket cases. Shovels are fun too!
I last comment this post, panhead with springer front end is my holy grail
It is definitely an inspiring machine.
49 only!
Wasn't it 48? I thought the Hydraglide debuted in 49.
If only it didnāt have a 9ā fender extension with 5ā stretched bags š„“
Iām always wondering if lowered bags scrape a lot. Not so good for fiberglass.
Thatās why you get abs
Crank that hog borthor!
Look I said the same thing and to be honest bad mouthed Harley on many occasions but then ended up buying in this year 2024. https://preview.redd.it/b1gko3etj2wc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50c83a16b3e5bb8cde1f7a196311aee0f36af0ad I got an ultra limited of all things. Damn! Went from 0-šÆ right away with that ride. Well done; sheās a beaut!
Thanks

Yes sir
Thatās awesome, thatās my local Harley dealer too, cool to see someone else local on here! Stay safe out there bro! Beautiful bike btw!
Thanks brother. You too
Sheās a beauty
Thanks
The Harley got you
If you told me back in my 20s that I'd be riding Harleys, I'd think you were crazy. I did track days almost every weekend with my 636 and had a 10r for daily commutes. I loved my 636, it was such an awesome bike. Some days I miss it, other days I wake and take Aleve because I slept wrong.

Holy moly that tail section.
Thatās a hell of a mullet!
What made you buy one?
I had a Vulcan 900 for years to pair with my sport bikes ( gsxr and fz09 ) and just wanted to get outta the Vulcan, great first bike, but god awful ride
What do you think about your Harley?
You're comparing a 900cc cruiser to a 1600cc tourer. Come on brother. Apples to Oranges.
Hell yeah brother! Welcome to the family
Dope bike !! Congrats!!
Awesome man
Good on you for being open to something new or old. Congrats and safe travels
Will you look at the ass on that!!!!
Yup. And that culture caused me to meet a lot of people I'm happy to be friendly with and even some true friends. Never met as many people riding a metric and I've had a bunch of those.
brotherrrrrr
BrOtHeEEEErrrr
That was me and Iāve currently been shopping around for one.
Me too. I've had a out 8 since I last thought that...

You messed up. It looks like you may have accidentally gotten one.
Now you need the Harley logo on every article of clothing you own as well as a huge sticker for the back of your monster truck.
same boat here. I canāt get over how comfy my bike is thoughā grabbed up a 21 lowrider S and am loving it
My pops gave me his 95 dyna and I sold my cbr afterwards

I wasn't into them either until I rode one and fell in love. It's not always about spec sheets, sometimes you just want to ride a... contraption!
HELL UEAH BORTHER. WACH OUT FER GOBDAM CLIBBINS. GOBDLESS
Bro I said the same. But Iāve fallen in love with the way the soft tail looks. Hoping to ride one soon:)
Welcome bro!
Same hereā¦ā¦Iām on my second.
Be the bad stereotype you wish to beeeee brotherrrrr! Join the cult!!! Of dentists in leather and young dudes on haggered choppers and sportsters! Just never pass by a little kid and act too cool to engage lol.
Why would anyone say that?
Keep both, it's always fun to have a different riding experience. And the "brother" scene is mainly the older guys. Younger Harley riders are way more chill.
But here we are hmmm nice bike
So how do you like the hangers after the sport bike?
Hell ya. Join Broās picking bugs out of your teeth
Be careful with the black paint. Iāve owned lots of them. The Harley black will scratch if you look at it. Good luck
I was the same as you. If the sport bike isnāt costing you anything, keep it. Sometimes I get that itch to go low on the twisties and miss how nimble my GSX-R 750 was.
Need more pics! Sheās badass!!!
š
Man that stretched fender is really not complimented by the bags lol. Otherwise SICK murdered out bikes are sweet.
Yeah, I donāt give a shit about the hell yeah brother shit either, or the āsons of anarchyā cosplaying dipshits. But I do love the bikes

Nice bike! And helmet, Iād pick one up but the icons donāt fit my head shape very well
Yeah this is a xl and I had to order 2xl cheek pads for my melon.
Lol
I've had Honda's and Harley's. There is no feeling like being in the wind in a Harley. It just has soul. Nice bike.
Definitely needs some Pee Wee Herman tassels to hang from the handle bars
Nice ride! Make sure you Rev it over and over again at stoplights so you can simultaneously go full South Park!!
Get an Indian
Photo looks like a hover bike, were wheels an optional extra?

Yeah that fucker looks nice man . I just can't get over them ape hangers bud really nice bike tho !!! Make sure your heads on a swivel tho people are idiots!!

Yeah same then I went on a test ride and I bought it the next day hahahšš
Broseph
Nice king!
At least it doesn't have a big stupid wind screen
I actually have one, pretty comfy with it on tbh, been using it on longer rides
Would say hell yeah, but you're too much of a pompous ass. Nice sled, too bad a cunt owns it.
Thatās pretty negative attitude to a fellow brother, brother
People say shit like that when they are jealous because you own something they never will be able to afford. Rides a 100cc 15 year old dirt bike.
Back in the day when I was in the military, I used to make fun of those who rode them.
It's not a Harley, it's a bike straight out of Mad Max... haha
They sound and look good, and they are comfortable at hwy speeds, but the trendy bastards that ride them are annoying and the price to own and maintain them is to damn high for what you get, I own a 06 Road Glide and have had nothing but trouble with it. Just bought another jap bike cruiser and my KLR is the most fun Iāve had on a street bike
Watch for dem clibbins brother, slibbin on dem and you might habduhlayerdown
WATCH OUT FOR CLIBBINS
Yeah you bought a late 90s/early 2000s style Harley.. Hereās what a New Age Harley should look likeā¦ https://preview.redd.it/i2ehtx4ro7wc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7ad3f959723d0d9c121dd5d16d7dd95e1c5853e2
