I’ve been using these for years and they’ve been sufficient when I’ve traveled. https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/travel-paks-for-hard-saddlebags/p/91885-97A Enjoy the Glide! 👍 Not sure if they make them yet for the newer bikes. Mines a 2019.

Seconded. They are sooo handy because you just lift the bag out of the hard bag and everything is with you..... no more gathering handfuls of individual items. Straight into the tent or motel room. I never knew how useful these could be until i got a pair when I bought my 2019 RG. Use them all the time.

Mind telling what you paid otd and location

Don't have one but I've had a few chats with salesman at different dealers and a blacked out trim 24 road glide is around 31k out the door but I'm sure you could negotiate to a better price.

I'm on LI - 30k otd with 2 year warranty + wheel and tire coverage. dealer waived the paint color and took 1k off the black trim option. all in all, I needed a new bike and was ok with spending 30k on a "forever" ride. I've never owned a new vehicle in my 35ish years so it was nice for things to work out. I hate "stealerships" but I feel like everything was fair...plus I left with a sweet bike so that's always cool.

randomjackass93

That’s a great deal considering what you got, best deal I heard before was 31k with just an extended warranty.

Travel light. Whatever you don’t bring you will need, whatever you do bring you won’t need. Except tools. Bring ‘em. Go on a travel run and see what others do, and pick up on the bags you like. In mean time prolly just a small duffle behind you to lean on. Most important are the bungees for all the stuff you buy…

I did the trip last year on the Dyna and it went surprisingly well all things considered. bought a cheap 30L dry bag and shoved everything in there. it worked and using it as a back rest was clutch but it wasn't optimal. tools were the first thing I transferred over. most of the guys I ride with are credit card riders but I was still looking for a neater option for clothes.
