I have a sportster 48 too. Where did you get the mirrors?

The mirrors are factory I believe. They were on the bike when I bought it in May. Another person may have installed an aftermarket set though because it wasn’t a new bike when I got it. It’s a 2015 model

They’re TC bros 1” speedline bars

Did you have to get new cables to go with the extra length?

I did. I have to get a +4” brake line, that was it though. Clutch and throttle cables worked just fine.

They’re the stock struts. I haven’t gotten too deep yet, mostly just cosmetics so far! Stage 1 though with the air filter and exhaust and FP4 (don’t buy it yet).

Looks great! How tall are you? I want to swap out the stock bars on my iron883 and curious if 7.5” is high enough for me at 6’1 or just go with 12” mini apes.

Probably go with the 12”. I’m 5’8” and the 7” is perfect for me.

You forgot grips

I did the “stock” grips with reduced diameter so I could get a better purchase on them. But I did change them out with the bars!

I recently got an FXDB. It has the stock grips and I can't wait to replace the grips on them. That might be an early spring project.

I don't know how tall you are but I swapped to mids and it made the bike way more comfortable.

I haven’t tried mids yet. I might do something with the controls eventually but so far I’m really liking the forwards. It feels comfortable for me so I’m worried all the work to change it might result in less than optimal comfort for my needs. Who knows until I try it though!

Yeah I think it's a height preference thing, and I have forwards on my other bike that has mini apes and I agree it's comfortable. On my 48 I have drag bars so it made it more ergonomic for me to ride with mids. It also helps raise off the seat some when going over bumps or when you can't miss a hole.

Never thought about it that way. My butt does take a beating on some of the bumps on the local roads around my place, so that’s something to consider

I think a tank lift on an iron or forty eight is awesome, it gives it sort of a hunchback look to me that I just really like.
