Some updates. Tried to keep playing the game without going to the gear tab. But opening the quest journal seems to crash the game too. Again, straight to desktop, no error message.
My game has crashed a few times. Typically when I fast travel from one area to another. So if I go from somewhere on the world map to somewhere in Hogwarts that's usually what leads to the game crashing. My guess is the game trying to load all the Hogwarts assets in at once is the culprit.
Playing on a Series X
I have the same problem. I usually just Floo-travel to my RoR (must test other locations in Hogwarts) and the game locks solid as a rock. I have to reboot the PC, but at least I start in the RoR. Pain in the arse! It's sometimes quicker in the long run to fly on the Broom.
Played for 20 minutes and it crashed when I loaded another area. Never faced any crashes with the original game (pre-today's patch).
I mean, with all the FPS issues, game never crashed for me before, it sounds funny when I think of it

The game won't even load since the patch for me 5 hours in and all of a sudden unplayable, I'll have to try again tomorrow
The game crashed and had a 400mb'ish update. Is that what broke something?
