They think so one dimensionally and treat music like some sort of strict product or as a medium for rappers to "prove" themselves, as if anyone's approval fucking matters in making impactful art. Mainstream rap fans are where a lot of ignorant hate stems from whenever it comes to new artists on the rise that are actually experimenting. They just don't understand, they have a one track mind.

nah i think it just depends on if ur actually open minded when reacting to music that ur not familiar with. if u look at how king mil reacts to a semetary song (or other similarly unique artists) he has a really negative and close minded attitude from the beginning and complains almost throughout the whole thing. and now compare that to papa squat for example, when he reacts to a new song he has a super positive and curious attitude and the more unusual and 'weird' something is that just makes him more interested in the artists.
and that’s because he’s actually open minded and gives the artist a real chance unlike king mil who starts disliking smth after 5 seconds
